Because sites like this and others are grand experiments in gauging popular fringe abilities in their ability to think critically.

Unfortunately, for us, we are failing by a large margin.

How many things are said here and acted upon en-masse with sources that have zero credibility?

We are exhibiting a mass ability to act upon input without analyzing it for themselves first.

This is absolutely and vehemently DANGEROUS in today's society where everything we read on the internet MUST be considered false before it is tested to be truth.

There is absolutely nothing with this approach either! In fact, considering everything false FIRST is how I function on a day-to-day basis.

I'm a PHP web application developer by trade.

I, like any other coder worth his salt, will say that you compare any condition against 'false' before you consider it to be true so that you ALWAYS have something to fail back upon.
