The fire heats up the trash around it as it moves it extracts the moisture content preparing it for burning so the fire keeps moving. The trash is usually very wet. Sometimes they can suffocate the fire by using the gases from the decomposition and closing off the dump by covering it. |

What amazes me is that not a single person that I have brought this up to even knows about it. I figured it was just the typical idiots who are more focused on their life and only their life. However, even those friends that typically fill me in on this sort of thing didn't even know. I feel as if no one in St. Louis except a minority care or even know about this growing problem. This reminds me of the Paducah Kentucky radioactive waste facility. |
