2012 was a record setting low for arctic ice so it's not a great place to start for a comparison. Also the extent is still well down on what it was thirty to forty years ago.

The planet is steadily getting warmer, the ice growth is due to increasing wind convergence at the ice caps.

THIRD: the IPCC assessment is accurate, but they are missing a radiative forcing input in their tables, via the electric universe model. the weakening of the sun and earths magnetic fields seem to have an effect on the weather/climate and until that is included and averaged in the current projections may be off.

FOURTH: there are no scientific groups claiming global cooling, just internet trolls and stupid people in general

This less than half weak solar max is going to usher in the next little ice age, or big ice age. Who really knows, what is known for sure is that an ice age will occur. This solar max cycle is 65% less than that of a regular Solar Max.

if I am not mistaken the 29% increase being reported has been computed by using a meridian average. what was done, was the low for artic ice was averaged against the high for arctic ice. I done believe it was a measured computation.

That Information is very misleading and does not suggest an Ice Age.

The Ice may have rebounded but thats it. Its still way under what was there before. Many Glaciers have been lost all over the world. Artic Ice is Thinning and is still Thinning.

If it had double from its Normal Ice Pack then I would say we are going somwhere with this but it has not. It only rebounded and that has been due to the weird cold and weird Jat Streams the last two years. The same that brought all the cold and snow to Russia and Europe over the last 2 winters.

This information is just like the shit they peddle about Fukushima. Raise the levels and then say everything is Normal.

Its not Normal. The Ice pack is still Melting and Thinning and has suffered enormous loses in the past decade. A little rebound means nothing because it is still not back where it should be. Percentages should not be used in this overall picture.

Ok, well, yeah, and about 20,000 years ago the Laurentide Ice Sheet covered most of Canada and part of the US. Thank God for Global Warming!

Well, when the entire US was declared a no-fly zone after 9/11... The mean temp dropped 3 degrees across the entire USA.

1 year does not equal a trend.

Over the past 50+ years there is undeniable EVIDENCE that the earth is warming. You can't look at one year and say DOOM OFF.

I've recently visited Glacier National Park and personally witnessed how far alpine glaciers have receded. They receding is closely related to the increased use of carbon emissions.

Please take a trip yourself and maybe the truth will finally hit home.
