I think it's something to do with radius of earth?

Earth radius is the distance from Earth's center to its surface, about 6,371 kilometers (3,959 mi). This length is also used as a unit of distance, especially in astronomy and geology, where it is usually denoted by R_\oplus.

And you base this upon what? The observations of someone on youtube? Yep, it's the same sort of 'nothings going to happen' I've heard before.

I heard it before 9/11 from a professor with a doctorate in Nuclear Engineering. I heard it from my brother and a real estate broker before the crash of '08.

And I've read people saying the same shit before World War I, before World War II, before the fall of Rome, and a dozen other human catastrophes!

Just remember the IC's in your fuckin' cell phone can't handle more than 2A of additional current and that is fundamentally the same shit in our satellites and our power grids! So, good luck.

To estimate the scale of such a failure, report co-author John Kappenmann of the Metatech Corporation looked at the great geomagnetic storm of May 1921, which produced ground currents as much as ten times stronger than the 1989 Quebec storm, and modeled its effect on the modern power grid. He found more than 350 transformers at risk of permanent damage and 130 million people without power. The loss of electricity would ripple across the social infrastructure with "water distribution affected within several hours; perishable foods and medications lost in 12-24 hours; loss of heating/air conditioning, sewage disposal, phone service, fuel re-supply and so on."
"The concept of interdependency," the report notes, "is evident in the unavailability of water due to long-term outage of electric power--and the inability to restart an electric generator without water on site."

When a storm like the 1921 storm, or even worse an 1859 Carrington Event. Certain parts of North America will be in a neo-dark age.

Yep, I'm not an expert on these matters. It is at the upper limits of my scientific and engineering knowledge. However, I am rapidly educating myself and prognosis is very poor. Imagine 25-50 million dead in a matter of weeks.

It is a good Idea to get your electronics wrapped. This is the largest plasma explosion I have ever see and it does appear a very strong very concentrated EMP will strike us shortly.

My electric motor on my well overheated and seized tonight? I wonder if that is coincidence?

Anyways, I would take this one serious people, It's a biggy.

I thought and advised the same. Now I see it is useless. If massive EMP shuts down the deliveries of food, you will care very little of internet. It will be shut down anyway because it is not only your electronics, it is the provider's. Is it what is going to happen?

I think, not yet.
