For one reason a lot of people just dont have the money to go get insurance.A lot that wont qualify for the free programs will not have enough extra money to pay for it so they will let it ride till they have to get it.

My wife and I have had a policy for over a decade and we intend to cling to it for as long as possible. Copays just shot up sky high (goes in effect tomorrow actually). Medicine copays are going up $5. They're going up $15 for name brand meds if there is a generic alternative. Visits will rise $15 and visits to specialists are doubling to $70.

In 12 years we have never seen such an increase. Nothing even close. I can only attribute it to a back door tax. The insurance company is using us to help cover all those they can no longer deny for preexisting conditions.

Shit, we were already poor enough. My wife and I both work 40 hour weeks and our combined salaries are just $26 an hour. We have a 6 year old child and get no assistance except reduced lunches which we rarely ever use since our daughter prefers to take her own lunch.

I thought that you just filed your insurance card numberw with your tax return at tax time. I thought only those WITHOUT any insurance had to SIGN UP for anything NOW.
