If there is going to be a huge quake in Cali(9.7) in the next few days, shouldn't there be a foreshock around a 7.0 or so any minute???

Re: 7.0 or Greater in California area...
While there have been 12-7.0 or higher since 1857, 1 every 13 years, the last being 1999, we are due to have a quake of 7.0.
It will be interesting to see when the next quake will happen. 1/4 of the 7.0 quakes have happened since 1990. 1 of those quakes in recent years, hit in a remote place, out in the desert.
I guess what I'm saying is a large quake will happen in California at some point, perhaps soon but, and it’s likely that it will strike a populated area but because we have had at least 6 of these quakes since 1980, the majority of the pressure that built up between the late 1920's and the late 1970's was released.
We are more likely to see 5.0 to 6.2 type quake, which can cause damage but not the catastrophic demise that many on this board so wish.
Sorry, folks, this constant BS or a large quake hitting California really needs to stop. Just like a quake on an island somewhere in the world. If it's not over 8.0 and isn't a strike slip type quake (that's where the two merging plate sub duct or simpler terms,---/___. When that happens a large wave takes place out in the ocean. But you need a large quake for that to happen.
If someone can verify for me that a smaller quake has created a devastating wave, please link it to this section.
