New Research indicates New Madrid is worse than previously thought by USGS.
News Release

September 30, 2013

New research provides insight on why the New Madrid Seismic Zone is unique and may continue to pose a higher earthquake risk than adjacent areas in the central United States.

Using innovative and sophisticated technology, scientists now have high-resolution imagery of the New Madrid Seismic Zone, allowing them to map the area in more detail than ever before.

“Our results are unexpected and significant because they suggest that large earthquakes remain concentrated within the New Madrid Seismic Zone,” said USGS scientist Walter Mooney, the co-author of the report.

I've been saying for some time that this should be at the top of the list of concerns of Americans + LA sinkhole.

Cayce said this would happen.

Last time it went off there were ahrdly any people around.

The Mississippi changed direction.

By todays standars and population density the same Earthquake would kill Hundreds of Thousands.

Oh noes! The Earth is on crack! Bad joke when it could be disastrous and that is my real suspicion on what is coming, possibly a magnetic reversal of the planet setting of major quakes.
Could be the big one?

I live in TN and if the New Madrid Quake happened I also agree that possibly several hundred thousand may die.

Many documentaries on the possibility of it happening has stated that it would directly affect 7-8 States easily. It would bring wide spread damage to a large number of major cities. You would possibly have flooding from the Mississippi River depending on if the Quake caused a divergence of the flow into a new valley or path. (Reelfoot Lake for example)

Can you imagine that? What if it was such a quake that it literally shifted the geographical layout and flow of the Mississippi River so that it caused a new river path?

I have a strong feeling also that if it did happen the Louisiana Sinkhole would react to it also. And not in a good way.

Memphis alone is 650K people! Imagine half of that being smashed due to falling structures, fires, and flooding or starvation, drowning, loot and kill, etc.

Interesting!
September's quakes in the area show nothing to be alarmed of
but you can see some are around a certain area in the middle
