Re: There REALLY IS something strange in western sky around sunset...!!!
Just for fun I have installed 3 different sky stars watch apps on my iphone, one to find comet ison. Each of them pointed me to a different location in the sky so I dont think they are accurate at all.
 Quoting: Anonymous Coward 48422195

Rumor has it that you are a dumb, German who can't use the app right. Just ask Astro and Sethy.

But don't kill yourself, because the rest of us think you are a smart, independent thinker who is just sharing some "odd" incident that many others are also experiencing.
 Quoting: 3rdEyeE

I didn't call anybody dumb. I said people can misuse these apps. His report confirms what I said.
 Quoting: Setheory 41894184

No, your buddies called him dumb, but you are lying right now...His reports does not CONFIRM that he is misusing the app. His report is the app is malfunctioning. Can you prove that the app is NOT malfunctioning? Only in shill world does "App isn't accurate" = "I don't know how to use my app"
 Quoting: 3rdEyeE

This actually demonstrates what several of us have said. If he has three sky apps and none of them agree, then it shows that people are indeed having difficulty using them for whatever reason. So if someone says that they pointed said app at said object and it didn't show up as Venus, then that doesn't necessarily mean it wasn't Venus.

This isn't that hard to understand.

1st picture for review and analysis. Stick to what objects/things you see. What they are. Feel free to zoom or ask any questions about the picture. Don't be afraid to say I don't see anything, or all I see is the moon...but be careful, because upcoming pics may make you look like a shill, troll or dumb-ass.

Before we start the slide-show....Does anyone have any "lens flare" photographs that look like any of the "known planets", pluto, or the "winged planet"? If so, please share your flares.

Can you upload images with higher resolution please? First image shows nothing, second image shows tiny dark spot above goal post, but that's it. Too many squares when doing a closeup.

Where is the object....Ummmm, you said you saw it above the goalposts. But don't fret, I gotta whole lotta more of where those came from. And they only get better. What you got for me on that winged planet? I am doing the un-thinkable, I am telling you that I theorize/believe that the 1983 article was about the "winged planet", the picture shown and the upcoming pictures are of the "winged planet"...what are you offering to the thread?
 Quoting: 3rdEyeE

I'm no expert on "the winged planet".

However, I did work for three years at a photography studio in college so I can "offer you" my expert opinion on your photos.
 Quoting: Setheory 41894184

Worked at Wolf Camera in college, but couldn't even tell me if the illustration most resembled

a) contrails
b) chemtrails
c) Venus
d) a google image for "winged planet"

 Quoting: 3rdEyeE

Wolf Camera? What are you even talking about?

I would have to say it would mostly resemble Venus with some type of flaring effect or a winged planet, but I've never seen a winged planet. Google images were not real consistent. I did see that some people were calling Venus the winged planet in SOHO images however.

Man, it's tough, but here is a better picture and I do have more, but understand the resolution is fine on the camera and when saved and viewed with a real pic viewer...The degradation comes when you import to these bullshit free image hosting sites.

Pic #4, it's getting better now.

Gotta get some sleep, so no I didn't disappear, will be back tomorrow. Let's get some analysis going here. Anybody else got some Venus pics so we can start to compare (Don't forget, shot with camera, from ground, with horizon). I want to really see the 230 pm Venus shot that somebody mentioned earlier on the thread.

BTW, I did the "filter flare test", you know the one, right? Can you please post your pictures without the "filter flare"? How do you distinguish "filter flares" from "objects"?

Next picture for New Zealand Coward...1st photo anomaly detected.

1) View the pic from the link
2) Zoom in above the goalposts
3) Now save the pic and view with a real viewer
4) Now zoom in above the goalposts with the real viewer
5) Report the difference between what you see with a BS free image share site like imageshack (there is a reason it is free) and a real image viewer.

Lastly, tell us what the object over the goalposts is.

More pics to come, and yes they get better. I am using a progressive approach for a reason.

Meanwhile, can we get some pics of "seemingly" constant contrails (inlcude the horizon for reference sake's) AND can we get some Venus shots from the ground w/horizon. After all, we are going to need something to compare images with.

I have picture and see something above goal post. Currently looks like it may be a light source out of focus but not enough info yet.
 Quoting: Setheory 41894184

Hmmm, let's take a pause for the cause, and let some other folks catch up. In the meantime, what do you mean by a "light source"? Very curious choice of words. What is the difference between a light source and an object in the sky that is emitting light/energy? Also, any thoughts on why this "thing" was clearly visible to me, but barely picked up on camera? Anymore accusations of "pictures aren't coming, to no surprise" coming? Lastly, would a "dark" or "dwarf" planet photograph differently than other planets, celestial objects? Is the moon "dark"? When did you last communicate with Astro, only 10 on the east coast, he in bed?
 Quoting: 3rdEyeE

Also, any thoughts on why this "thing" was clearly visible to me, but barely picked up on camera?
 Quoting: 3rdEyeE

Can you provide / are you working with the RAW Data file of your pictures? Any compression algorythm like jpeg etc reduces what the camera actually "sees". You could use software like Lightroom to get the best out of your pctures.

being the brightest object other than the moon

Good morning ACZero60, I have been waiting for your dumb ass. Please explain the question you raised along with your B.S. flag. Hmmmm, why is the cable in "front" of it....Well let's consider the only 2 physical alternatives and how the picture might be different in each:

1)"It" is in front of the cable--Not sure, but I would suspect that I would be killed by an object that size that is CLOSER than the power lines on the road I am traveling on. ROTFLMFAO! That's what some people are fearful of, the day when the celestial object documented in American MSM for over 30 years (actually longer, if you include MSM American science journals/magazines/publications) is closer than a power line.

2)"It" is "even" (i.e. same distance) as cable--Not sure, but I would suspect that I would be killed by an object that size that is THE SAME DISTANCE as the power lines on the road I am traveling on. ROTFLMFAO! That's what some people are fearful of, the day when the celestial object documented in American MSM for over 30 years (actually longer, if you include MSM American science journals/magazines/publications) is THE SAME DISTANCE as.

Looking stupid right about now, huh? And to be clear, LOOK at the picture, the cable RUNS ALL THE WAY THROUGH, the object. Try zooming and you will CLEARLY see THE ENTIRE LENGTH of the black cable. Damn, dog....you getting destroyed and I don't even know your name.

Try this at home...Take ANY camera, find a "skyline"/horizon with cables and sky. Take a picture, the clouds, sun, moon, venus, "winged planet" will not "block out" the cables that are "in front" of said object.

P.S. Can the shills defend me, bomb this bomb for raising the B.S. flag and make this kook apologize to me? IJS. Consistency is the key.

Pic 4: wire is BEHIND the yellow dot, isn't? And there's another dot a bit above and to the left of the yellow dot, although way smooth. So, at least for this one, I'd say it may be a lens flare - occurred between the cam sensor and the outside, to be in front of the energy wire... The only place between these points is the lens...

Can you provide / are you working with the RAW Data file of your pictures? Any compression algorythm like jpeg etc reduces what the camera actually "sees". You could use software like Lightroom to get the best out of your pctures.

Yes/Yes...of course the compression is from the bs free pic share site. And photo enhancement can be done, I am going to have professionals do it. But wanted to share some 1st, b/c once you enhance you open pandora's box of authenticity.

Re: There REALLY IS something strange in western sky around sunset...!!!
Pics are suspended until EVERY question in my response to Geo is intelligently answered and a comparable pic WITH the exact same number of "filter flares" is posted. I warned against these baseless flare tactics before I started posting.

Not sure why you are suspending your photos but shit, good job. I am praying for a nice day here to at least try to get my own photos.

Quite frankly, if I see what you apparently saw, I don't give a shit about what people say here, I'll need to get the F#@ck out of dodge and fast...

PS. Thanks for posting the pictures you did post.

More pictures please.

And, one question...Why is there SUCH big improvement in what is visible from third picture to 4th.

Thanks you.

Great question, I mentioned previously that I will use a "progressive" approach to pic posting. I believe this is the best way to have open, intelligent dialogue. Imagine, if the best picture is posted 1st, then Geo comes with his bullshit, no progress. But this way, when "they" can't even shill away the "entry-level" (no pun intended) pics, well then when we get to the "CEO-level" (Celestial Examination Officer) pics....Get it?

Re: There REALLY IS something strange in western sky around sunset...!!!
 Quoting: Anonymous Coward 33023449

Wire is NOT behind the yellow dot...This is scary dumb FOR REAL!!! What makes you think the wire is BEHIND the object in the sky? How can the wire be BEHIND the object in the sky? Try this one, find a power line, place a big orange in front of your eye, and look for the power line to run "through the middle" of the orange. Lastly take a pic and post it. If you don't get this, you never will and I can't help you. Contact Geo.

Calling all expert "lens flare" photographers....
 Quoting: 3rdEyeE

Do the finger test or your pictures are worthless.

Your powerline picture suggests that the finger test will fail and that it's just a flare. Video will be more helpful in this regard than still images, if your camera is capable of it. If you think you can claim it's "behind" the power line simply because you say so... well, you already lost all credibility here ( [link to www.godlikeproductions.com] ) so don't pretend like you can now rely on your credibility.
