My first thread regarding a personal ufo experience

This was a few years ago Oct 29th 2011 To be precise, me and four of my friends were driving back from blackpool (n.w,england)we were approaching the motorway (highway for you Americans) and we saw a huge light in the sky to big to be a star but to small to be the moon or any other object, I actually noticed it first and said "wtf is that???" know one had an answer and we were all quite concerned as to what it could be, anyway as we was going through the slip road to get onto the motorway, we lost sight of the object due to tall trees, but before we knew it the tree's disappeared and we were on the long road home, that's when we noticed it, the only way I can describe it is a flying saucer was there. No more than 40-50 yards away from us over a farmers feild, it was MASSIVE!!! I mean shockingly big, we stopped and pulled on to the hard shoulder because of the sheer shock of it, we did try and record it on a camera phone but what we recorded was nothing like what we had seen (another car had stopped to watch, but quickly got off I think he had his kids with him lol imagine him explaining that) anyway we were still in the car watching it move majestically over this field, the movement was unbelievably smooth considering the size of the craft certainly nothing capable of man to achieve it also had a red light running around the centre of it which was pretty cool tbh, but then shit got serious my mates car alarm started freaking out and the wind had changed from quite calm to pretty fucking aggressive, the craft appeared to experience a change as the lights changed from red, to orange, to yellow and then green, at this point we knew we'd better go. So we did all the time the rest of us not including the driver (he was concentrating on speeding) remained watching the craft and the farm land it was over lit up a fluorescent pink. And that was the last we. Could see, we never heard anything else of this incident. No other witnesses. No nothing which tbh is the weirdest thing of all, blackpool is a big tourist attraction. In the north west so there would have been plenty of people who would have seen it, and not to mention only one other driver on the motorway it was only just before midnight, I have two conclusions about this 1. Aliens.(though I doubt aliens would travel lightyears to go to frigging blackpool) 2. Humans driving alien crafts or developed anti gravitational flight and enjoy changing the color of grass, there is a bae systems in warton near blackpool but why fly it over the motorway bit stupid don't you think. Has anyone else had a similar experience or could maybe come up with a theory cause it still freaks me out a little
