As an Austin resident, let me tell you guys, we're REALLY lucky to have Art Acevedo at the top spot. The cops here, while a bit touchy at times (who can blame them?) are some of the nicest, well rounded, well-informed people I have ever met. A lot of them are also on the citizens' side.
I can imagine having to deal with douchebags on the daily, so cut them some slack.

That being said, there's always bad, dumb aples, like the guy who shot at the dude in the video. Glad it isn't a common occurrence here. And thank heavens for dash cams, right?
