10 Ways This Shutdown Would Have Affected Us Today

Like any zombie it still collects the blood of its victims (taxes) even while most of its zombie army (federal government employees) sit at home on a paid vacation... and most of their oppressive "services" continue on, like the CIA, NSA, ATF, DEA, Executive branch, police and more.

But just for our pleasure, let's imagine that all government in the US really shut down ... which it will in the coming years as the US dollar collapses.

So, I think I was a little disappointed when the clock struck 12 AM and life continued on. Yet, I'm also happy that we're still not living a dystopia (YET). This shutdown is really just absurd because, as I understand it, these heads of state are still getting paid regardless. I wonder when we'll truly see a TRUE shutdown of government in America.

I think we should tell congress that they don't get paid until we have a real budget. Then all these continuing resolutions would just go away. Make them show us what they are spending our money on. The Constitution says they have to pass a budget, but Harry Reid hasn't even let one on the floor of the senate for 5 years!
Hope for the best, but prepare for the worst.
