It doesn't mean pharmaceuticals; that's a poor translation of the greek word. It means sorcery, which could include mind altering chemicals...but the verse is basically saying "by their magic spell" people are deceived.

Furthermore, Jesus himself (at least while living as a person) had nothing to do with the book of Revelation. His ideas are more accurately portrayed in the other books when he is being quoted.

Not that I'm saying he would be for or against Obamacare.

The USA has done nothing but good deeds and you say god is destroying the USA? The USA is a good and powerful country not because we are corrupt but because god sees that we deserve it. When we see a poor country what does USA do? Donate, donate, donate. When 2 countries are about to rage war what does USA do? Break it up and make peace. People say USA needs to mind their own business but how can we do that when other countries need help. Jesus would support obama care. Yes abortion is wrong, yes drugging people is wrong, but thats their own fault for choosing that path and they need to see that.
