Could ISON hit Mercury?

the only planet's orbit it gets anywhere near is ours. it's why we're going through it's trail mid january. it's nowhere near Mercury.

what gets me is ,how the hell does anybody know where this thing could end up if it went off orbit and whats to say it doesnt clip something and go out of control

Actually after re-checking the path and actually getting the website to do what I wanted it to do, I'm agreeing with the AC from the UK who said it doesn't come close to Mercury. My viewing angle was off. However isn't it Mars who gets the closest pass?

Anyway, I know nothing about this comet other than what I read from NASA and other space people, and of course what I read here on GLP. I tend to think most doom scenarios about ISON are just entertainment but maybe I'm wrong and we all ARE going to die. Who am I to say who is right? I guess that's what makes this thing entertaining for me. If we didn't have people pressing their panic buttons it would just be some large space rock. I do love NewThor's vids too. His delivery and style is awesome. Has anybody noticed how he's gone from doom off about ISON to doom on? It didn't take too long either. I wonder what's up.

Can anybody explain to me what the jet is on ISON? Shouldn't it be blowing stuff out AWAY from the Sun just like a comet's tail works?

Again, I'm clueless about this stuff but I love the entertainment.
