I pay 50 per visit. I do not have insurance. You would be shocked what a game insurance is. An MRI that would cost 4 grand with insurance cost me 1000 cash. It's much cheaper for me.

I don't know anyone who has gone to the hospital and been turned away. I also know that doctors and hospitals will discount your bill greatly (sometimes as much as 80%) if you do not have health insurance.

Obamacare will only increase health care costs since up to now there has always been two medical cost billing rates, one for those who have insurance and the other who don't. Now that everyone has insurance, the health industry will charge anything they want.

The problem with healthcare in the United States is the insurance companies and the health providers who attempt to make as much money as possible so what does Obamacare do to fix the problem? Absolute nothing except force you to buy health insurance and continue to encourage the process that is the root of the problem.

My advice to the OP, dont participate in ObamaCare as if what you say is true you can not afford it AND one thing you missed too is that on top of the price for the premiums, you must meet your deductable first before the insurance pays anything. Another thing that you may have missed is that come tax time you will get part of cost of premiums back though tax credits but again its the insurance deductable liability that will hurt you the most as that's when the private debt collectors come after you when you can't pay.

You are better off negotiating with the health provider after the fact to recieve relief after you obtain the health care you need.

the ER in a wheelchair, bleeding
from a head wound for 4 hrs while
I watched from across the hall
as my dad got a nice comfy room.
dad had Medicare, drunk had no insurance.
drunk finally gets up and gets a bath
room towel to wrap his head and leaves
while cussing the nurses out for taking
in 5 ER patients to available rooms.

another incident, a person comes into ER
from a vehicle accident, didn't have
insurance, ER Doc tells them to load
up the patient back into the Ambulance
and take them to another hospital 1 hr away

another incident:
a patient comes into ER with extreme pain
in the lower abdomen, left in a room
for 6 hrs due to no insurance, patient
passes out from pain and is rushed into
surgery for appendicitis and comes within
mins of dying from a ruptured appendix.
That patient was ME !!! I lived it.
I almost died because of indiscretion
due to lack of insurance. Then the
doctor comes down to the ER and shows off
the ruptured appendix to all the ER Staff
and makes jokes about poor people.
What the doctor didn't know was that
my Aunt was one of the people hearing
his vagrant speech in the ER and she
relayed it to me.
