If the US government is on 'shutdown' and the NASA page clearly displays the message;

Then how is this site 'legit'?

not sure, but a weak one if true. Everyone knows NASA's staff is at home. On the other hand, something maybe coming, a lot of secret info has been leaked recently. Now NASA's staff maybe more inclined to spill the beans, some need money.
