What about the people that answers the phone and don't respond?

You say, "hello, is so and so there? They say, this is so and so. You start the conversation friendly by saying hi, how you doing? (or something to that effect) They say nothing. Okay, then, you say whatever you need to say.

No, this is not a telemarketing call, this is a call to someone you know.

It's so disconcerting..just like the blank stare people. No pulse.

And what, may I ask, is so bad with "blank stares"? Why do people get so upset when someone gives them a "blank stare", which is most of the time an emotionless look at someone of no significance to the beholder (the person who gives a "blank stare") who indeed has emotions just like the upset person who was stared at? It does not always mean that the "blank-staring" person is possessed, souless or a zombie. Why jump to conclusions without further insight? How can you judge someone who you know nothing or just a little about? I defend the "blank stare", because everyone at sometime does "them" not knowing that they do.
