Buoy 51426 stopped Eventing, the eq activity has slowed down, a high probability of 7 + within 3 days because of the duration of the buoy movements, solar flares, amount of eq's in 1 day, eclipse and new moon,

So. Fla can expect high tides, flooding with new moon

A new moon combined with easterly winds could cause flooding in some low lying areas beginning Sunday, according to the National Weather Service.

The worst case scenario could mean that tides rise about a foot more than their normal levels, said meteorologist Stephen Konarik.

“Normally the affects of the moon is not enough to cause coastal flooding,” he said. “But when you have meteorological factors, you never know.”. . . .

(WFLX) - A warning if you are heading to the beach any time soon: Unusually high tides will be seen across South Florida this fall.

The National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration says tides are predicted to be at their highest Monday through November 15 and then December 3 through 6. High tide could be 7 to 10 inches above average.

Extreme tide events can impact drainage systems and cause flooding in low-lying areas.

It was out of service for a couple of days and it was put back in service today and went into EVENT Mode,
I don't think this is a malfunction, something of a seismic or volcanic nature may be going on causing these fluctuating readings, a high probability of more 6 +'s on the way

interesting Quirk, I watch this site daily...have you checked the weather in the area for storms? noticed that at some times its like a 20-25m change in water level...

[link to www.ndbc.noaa.gov]

as for the buoys 56003 and 56001, they are of a serious concern to me. they cover that area where the 'strike-slip' EQ occurred remember, and there are suspicions that the plate, subduction zone may have been seriously compromised...I always watch these two and wonder...

This is REALLY odd. Never saw that buoy in event mode either. And it's recording a 60 meter wave height (around 196 ft.)
