Station 56001 - Indian Ocean 1 - 1025km NW of Dampier just went into EVENT Mode

Interesting readings, looks like it picked up the eq activity,

This is one of the buoys with the erratic readings in the last couple of weeks posted above, this buoy possibly connected to Scotia Sea Region or more activity to come?

An interesting theory I came across and posted before was the correlation between New and Full Moon and Earthquakes specifically to CA and the east side of the ring of fire. A connection has been made higher probability of eq at predawn and dawn and within 36 hours of a full or new moon (before and after).
[link to www.sfexaminer.com]

The last Mexico earthquake occurred on Oct 19, 2013 - M6.5 - 91km SW of Etchoropo, Mexico 2013-10-19 17:54:55 UTC.
Though it didn't occurr at predawn or dawn it did occurr in the 36 hour full moon period. The Last full moon was October 18, 2013

The Next full moon is tomorrow November 17, 2013 16:15 (GMT)
[link to www.moonphases.info]

I'm not sure I fully subscribe to this theory yet, but interesting to note and keep an eye on. . .

Indonesian Volcano Keeps Erupting; On Highest Alert

AKARTA, Indonesia—A volcano in the northern part of Indonesia’s Sumatra island erupted six times early Monday, sending volcanic ash up to 2,000 meters in the air after days of heightened activity, the country’s disaster agency said.

The National Agency for Disaster Management said the eruptions at Mount Sinabung occurred between 1 a.m. and 9 a.m., with winds pushing ash to the east and southeast, away from Indonesia’s third largest city of Medan.

The eruptions come a day after Indonesia raised the alert status for Sinabung to the highest level, forcing the evacuation of more than 5,000 people in the area immediately surrounding the volcano. More than 11,000 people altogether have been evacuated since the volcano began erupting sporadically in September. . . .
