Fla can expect high tides, flooding with new moon A new moon combined with easterly winds could cause flooding in some low lying areas beginning Sunday, according to the National Weather Service. The National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration says tides are predicted to be at their highest Monday through November 15 and then December 3 through 6. [link to www.ndbc.noaa.gov] as for the buoys 56003 and 56001, they are of a serious concern to me. they cover that area where the 'strike-slip' EQ occurred remember, and there are suspicions that the plate, subduction zone may have been seriously compromised...I always watch these two and wonder...
