you obviously only know about the NASA orbiter and thats why you answered the way you did but I would be curious to your opinion on why the other Countries didn't take the opportunity to show up NASA or highlight their own space programs by showing the pictures they took of ISON near Mars?

Oh for pete's sake, I did a webcast of ISON just this past weekend, even though I was celebrating my birthday. I don't post on every thread that comes along, but I do provide info where and when I can.

ESA is the only other space agency with an orbiter around Mars. And according to a tweet released an hour ago, they have not had as much luck as NASA has in capturing it with their orbiter.

It sounds like they're trying now to look for any signs of stellar dimming as stars passed behind where ISON's coma should have been, but so far nothing is being seen directly.

We have no way to tell when they are from and you damn well deserve no benefit of doubt.

Yes, you do. But it requires some degree of intelligence and knowledge of astronomy, which you apparently lack. It's called astrometry. You CAN determine precisely when the images are from. Here, let me give you a huge hint to get you started:

There's an astrometrically solved fits file of one of the frames from the gif animation. The fits file has WCS data embedded in it with which you can determine the precise coordinates of ISON in the image. From there you can easily verify when the image was taken. It's the same way I correctly identified comets even when the information given about the images and what they contained was a complete lie.

Does not mean they were all successful, all currently operational, etc. You make huge leaps in logic which unfortunately for you are not in agreement with reality

Yinghuo-1, the Chinese attempt, did not make it.

Russia has sent a number of missions there, but nothing recent from them has made it successfully. Fobos-Grunt was a failure.
Nozomi, the Japanese attempt, did not succeed in orbiting Mars either.

There is still no legitimate pictures or video showing ISON passing Mars nor any of Mars before and after the dates mentioned above.

Oh look, he tries to play a dick measuring contest with me. Cute little AC doesn't realize that equipment does not make you an amateur astronomer, performing astronomy makes you an amateur astronomer. The data I provided is just fine. It proves many things, among others that ISON is not on a collision course with earth and that it isn't dangerous nor is it interacting with Mars. Last, but not least, the equipment I used for the above images was extremely powerful. That was from a 20" Planewave telescope with an extremely powerful FLI CCD.

You mention ISON breaking up but yet provide no proof or evidence of such events taking place. I guess you just take an agencies or persons word for it without any evidence and move on or you're paid to say it.
