Anonymous Coward User ID: 6480618 United States 10/08/2013 08:38 PM Report Abusive Post Report Copyright Violation | Good. Fuck them. Quoting: Angry Hierophant By the way, whats the real power source anyway? And Is this a bullshit story to make people think they have less capability than they do? if that was their intention they've gone miles in the wrong direction in this regard... I find it humorous that they went ahead and inferred that despite having no clue as to what's actually occurred that they have "mitigated the problem" yeah, right 13 times in 10 months is a touch of irony in any case lock n load |
Anonymous Coward User ID: 6480618 United States 10/08/2013 08:41 PM Report Abusive Post Report Copyright Violation | seems they can't get their data right even with reference to their reporting of the incident in question oops... one report indicates 13 incidents in 10 months and the other report clearly states 10 incidents in 13 months me think they have their wires crossed indeed |

And Is this a bullshit story to make people think they have less capability than they do? Not sure about the power source, but this ran awhile back: New Utah NSA center requires 1.7M gallons of water daily to operate [link to www.ksl.com] Here's one of the comments: "Cooling computer equipment? Give me a break! Water cooling of computer components uses RECIRCULATED WATER within the computer housings. It's not consumed. They are not "spraying" water on the hot computers and producing steam and water vapor. If they are, indeed, using 1.7 million gallons of water per day, they better provide a better explanation than that. The reporters should be smart enough to know the government gives ridiculous explanations for just about everything, but they shouldn't pass along the absurdity through the media." Either a front for stealing massive amounts of water, or... What else requires massive amounts of water to cool? |
Anonymous Coward User ID: 14010048 United States 10/08/2013 08:48 PM Report Abusive Post Report Copyright Violation | Who'd want to read my emails anyway? Hell, I don't even read 75% of them myself. Delete, delete! More power to them! This is par for the course of our impotent, ignorant government! Something's never change. Only our US Government can rationalize attacking a country & killing over 1 million people to protect them from being "killed" by their "evil" leader. Then, we leave nothing but destruction & death, along with depleted uranium to finish poisoning the remaining people & future children for the next several thousand years! Now THAT'S the kind of idiots we have making important decisions in Washington! The IQ of Washington DC is very low. The EGO of Washington DC is very high! |

Anonymous Coward User ID: 6480618 United States 10/08/2013 09:01 PM Report Abusive Post Report Copyright Violation | BLUFFDALE, UTAH — Massive electrical surges at a data storage facility for the National Security Agency have led to the destruction of hugely expensive machinery and delayed its opening for a year, officials revealed Tuesday. Quoting: Anonymous Coward 48078886 [link to nextnewsnetwork.com] [link to rt.com] "The data hub will consume some 65 megawatts of energy at a cost of $1 million per month." All this just to read my email? Just ask dude.. I'll save you the coin. It would have been cheaper to put this site next to the experimental reactor they have to the north of there.. and nobody would be the wiser as it is all DOE land.. cant poke around. [link to en.wikipedia.org] nobody eh? you sure about that? |

I was rather fond of the one where they were attempting to use a synthetic uplink from the same individuals mind and the alien being linked in on the other end was electrocuted rather abruptly... much to everyones surprise if I recall correctly they indicated it smelled like "burnt pig" in the room after the fact... one of those "had to be there" moments I'm sure ; ) |

I bet someone had a clear moment and said "Fuck it" "let it blow".Fuck the new NSA!!!!!!!!!Get back to breaking codes agains our real enemys.Oh wait WE ARE THE ENEMY!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Quoting: Anonymous Coward 35662124 they're all of one mind these daze I do believe no stone unturned in that regard, sigh yep, they're empty vessels for the most part wouldn't count on much sympathy from a dead man walking at this point |

Listen_n User ID: 1580156 United States 10/08/2013 09:24 PM Report Abusive Post Report Copyright Violation | I'm not too sure about this...I work around data centers all the time and there's so much electrical switchgear and surge suppression with ups's it would be hard to imagine. But good news if true. Quoting: It's_Hot Here They wanted to combine the NSA data stores with the power of the universe via quantum computers. Quoting: Alahndro Qunatum Computers can yield instant result through multi-dimensionality. They hope to use it as some kind of digital black vodoo for control of the masses from who the data is collected from. They underestimated the intelligence of the quantum-world! Moral: Don't mess with the universe! They can call themselves lucky not having plunged into a sudden emerging black hole underneath their feet and being smashed into subatomic dust when it would have again evapoured into nothingness How freakin bizarre these two statements completely coinside with the articles I've been reading today! I've been researching the terms, the locations and validity of this all day, so I am not CERTAIN, but wow this is coincidental. NSA was built right near the intersection of 4 Ley Lines/Earth Grids/Curry Lines (whichever) which are known to produce a lot of energy from our magnetosphere. NSA building is sitting on one of the grid lines. Maybe they got a surge from underneath. Unixlike User ID: 47890376 United States 10/08/2013 09:33 PM Report Abusive Post Report Copyright Violation | What should have us all concerned is once they iron out these problems, it obviously is going to be the most powerful supercomputer and data storage site in the world. Just look at the cooling systems that the building was designed around. This thing is going to be amazing. NOT GOOD!! Quoting: Anonymous Coward 9204853 The new chips are pretty efficient and don't generate near the heat of the ones of just a few years back.....and still this beast needs a building built as a giant air conditioning system to cool it?? SHIT!! If it hits a cable or is transmitted wireless it will be processed and stored there....PERIOD!! WTF could they do with that?? Skies the limit!! Power lines to any facility come down mighty easy if people ever took a notion to do such a thing. Just sayin'. |
Pony Up User ID: 45332683 United States 10/08/2013 09:33 PM Report Abusive Post Report Copyright Violation | Great Excuse: " Defenses Down ". " No way of knowing who did this ". When something happens. . This would not have happended if this facility was operational, but due to government shutdown, this electrical incident occured, so the facility was not operational. Seems to be an awful lot of coincidences lately. Maybe someone is positioning their chess pieces. To shut everyone up about the NSA, they need an incident that will justify to the sheep, the need for such a facility. I am sure by now, russia and china has this location in their crosshairs. |
