Can Anyone Tell Me more About This Comment I Found In A Thread
This was posted by an Ac on the thread titled "There,s Horizon in Space".

I quickly read it yesterday and then found myself thinking about it a lot.

I don't know a lot about space and it often confuses me and then lo and behold some of the things in this list are also on my list.

Does anyone know where this list came from and can anyone explain it...

Is it not peculiar that...

1. Every known form of energy decays, even light, namely with the square of the distance, and yet light rays of stars are still reaching us from billions of light years away.
2. Everything is subject to lines of force, (which are curved as is well known), but only light supposedly travels in a perfectly straight line.
3. According to French experiments (Prof. Allais), after 8 m distance it is no longer useful and geodesists (surveyors of the earth) have to use correction factors.
4. That night is never truly dark.
5. Even though light is supposed to travel straight, a glowing mountain can be seen even after the sun has long since set.
6. That the poles of the earth at the great distance of 150 million km from the sun do not receive equal amounts of heat, though the difference of that distance is only 6000 km.
7. That we have winter even though the sun is supposed to be 5 million km closer on December 12.
8. In all the seasons we do not have the same temperatures, if the sun is a glowing ball of heat.
9. All planets move from East to West, only the earth turns from West to East which is in the opposite direction to all other paths of the planets.
10. In a centrifuge all heavy materials collect on the outside (away from the center) only the lighter ones are near the center, yet only the rotating earth reverses the whole process.
11. The earth never cools off completely, although it is travelling in icecold (-273° C) space with a supposed velocity of 800 km/s around the sun.
12. That with this enormous speed in space, high and lows can form in the atmosphere, and everywhere a layer of air with the same altitude can remain. And all this is in addition to the earth's own revolution of 30 km/s.
13. That on a rotating sphere, the heavy land masses are found in the upper half and the lighter water mass on the lower half, instead of a collection of the landmasses near the equator.
14. That in the vacuum of space earth does not lose its air.
15. A vacuum conducts neither rays, nor light, nor heat nor gravity, but this is not valid for the sun and its planets.
16. Earth performs a revolution against its path around the sun.
17. That fixed stars do not show a parallax (moving from their postion) while the earth races around the sun 1.2 billion km per year.
18. That at a solar eclipse, when the sun is 150 million km distant, the shape of the eclipse is different at various places on the earth.
19. That fixed stars never move although they are found in a moving, expanding universe.
20. That we never see the back of the sun, although we are moving around it, while the low and high tides happen at exactly the opposite sides of the earth.

Very interesting things in this post number 23 is very interesting, it makes the earth sound like it is curved inward not outward.

Don't know how that would work but there are a lot of strange things that they answer but the answer never fit.

One way to answer it is not a fact, but we are inside not outside the earth, it only looks to us that we are on the outside. That would explain the no stars from the moon.

We could be very small, or the earth very large, in the really doesn't matter we don't have Jacks magic beans to climb up to the land of giants.:)

I want to recommend a book I just started reading:

"Farewell To Reality" by Jim Baggot; pub. Pegasus Books. Came out in the summer.

Basically he argues that quantum theory and all the modern theoretical physics (quarks and the multidimensional universe etc.) amounts to what he calls "fairy tale science" because it is all unprovable and seems to exist mostly to attract government and private financing grants in order to keep scientists employed. For instance, the search for the Higgs boson employs at least 3,000 scientists.

And specifically (among others), 2, 15, 29. 31 are wrong.

Re: Can Anyone Tell Me more About This Comment I Found In A Thread
Here's my take...

The Earth is not in orbit, but everything else in the solar system is.

We understand almost nothing about true gravity.

It's likely the Earth is a created "biosphere" and not a true planet.

The moon is not natural either, and its own issues cause the star anomaly.

Seasons are caused by electromagnetic affects due to the tilt of the Earth and the Sun's main affect is not from heat rays on their own but the electromagnetic phenomena. The tilt is from gravitational solar system effects and not the orbit.

Much of the heat comes from the core of the Earth and the combination of the core with the atmosphere and trapped solar energy is extra.

Light bends.

Space is not a true vacuum just absent of atmosphere.

We don't know what's at the center of the Earth, but it's likely something we have no idea about yet or related to dark matter which we have little idea about.

Not that scary, just *different*. The universe is multidimensional, and who knows how much this affects our daily 3-D life :)

Who can know the MIND of GOD??

Job 38

King James Version (KJV)

38 Then the Lord answered Job out of the whirlwind, and said,

2 Who is this that darkeneth counsel by words without knowledge?

3 Gird up now thy loins like a man; for I will demand of thee, and answer thou me.

4 Where wast thou when I laid the foundations of the earth? declare, if thou hast understanding.

5 Who hath laid the measures thereof, if thou knowest? or who hath stretched the line upon it?

6 Whereupon are the foundations thereof fastened? or who laid the corner stone thereof;

7 When the morning stars sang together, and all the sons of God shouted for joy?

8 Or who shut up the sea with doors, when it brake forth, as if it had issued out of the womb?

9 When I made the cloud the garment thereof, and thick darkness a swaddlingband for it,

10 And brake up for it my decreed place, and set bars and doors,

11 And said, Hitherto shalt thou come, but no further: and here shall thy proud waves be stayed?

12 Hast thou commanded the morning since thy days; and caused the dayspring to know his place;

13 That it might take hold of the ends of the earth, that the wicked might be shaken out of it?

14 It is turned as clay to the seal; and they stand as a garment.

15 And from the wicked their light is withholden, and the high arm shall be broken.

16 Hast thou entered into the springs of the sea? or hast thou walked in the search of the depth?

17 Have the gates of death been opened unto thee? or hast thou seen the doors of the shadow of death?

18 Hast thou perceived the breadth of the earth? declare if thou knowest it all.

19 Where is the way where light dwelleth? and as for darkness, where is the place thereof,

20 That thou shouldest take it to the bound thereof, and that thou shouldest know the paths to the house thereof?

21 Knowest thou it, because thou wast then born? or because the number of thy days is great?

22 Hast thou entered into the treasures of the snow? or hast thou seen the treasures of the hail,

23 Which I have reserved against the time of trouble, against the day of battle and war?

24 By what way is the light parted, which scattereth the east wind upon the earth?

25 Who hath divided a watercourse for the overflowing of waters, or a way for the lightning of thunder;

26 To cause it to rain on the earth, where no man is; on the wilderness, wherein there is no man;

27 To satisfy the desolate and waste ground; and to cause the bud of the tender herb to spring forth?

28 Hath the rain a father? or who hath begotten the drops of dew?

29 Out of whose womb came the ice? and the hoary frost of heaven, who hath gendered it?

30 The waters are hid as with a stone, and the face of the deep is frozen.

31 Canst thou bind the sweet influences of Pleiades, or loose the bands of Orion?

32 Canst thou bring forth Mazzaroth in his season? or canst thou guide Arcturus with his sons?

33 Knowest thou the ordinances of heaven? canst thou set the dominion thereof in the earth?

34 Canst thou lift up thy voice to the clouds, that abundance of waters may cover thee?

35 Canst thou send lightnings, that they may go and say unto thee, Here we are?

36 Who hath put wisdom in the inward parts? or who hath given understanding to the heart?

37 Who can number the clouds in wisdom? or who can stay the bottles of heaven,

38 When the dust groweth into hardness, and the clods cleave fast together?

39 Wilt thou hunt the prey for the lion? or fill the appetite of the young lions,

40 When they couch in their dens, and abide in the covert to lie in wait?

41 Who provideth for the raven his food? when his young ones cry unto God, they wander for lack of meat.

Light does not come in a straight path. It's affected by gravity also, because it is a physical substance. It bends, like when you see a huge moon, or sun.

I have been studying science for nearly all of my 51 years and the more I learn, the more I realize how little we really KNOW about the universe, If modern science were to publish a book on what it actually KNOWS, the entire contents could be represented on a single page of number 12 font.

No shit. I'm not exaggerating. Most of what science claims to know is simply what the majority of people are able to be convinced to accept.

There are so many things wrong in the OP's quoted post, it's astounding.

Off the top of my head, light doesn't travel in a straight line, does decay (Or to be more specific, defuses, think about what a tiny amount of light we get from a star compared to the sun.) And seasons are determined by the angle of the planet, not by how close the entire planet is to the sun.

News
