Ok I have a really slow computer and if I click on your link I am afraid my computer will freeze. Happens all the time. So please explain this.

It travels through our universe but there are stars in our universe. I don't get it. Are you saying it doesn't gravitate around any star in any pattern or just that they don't see the pattern. If they just discovered this and its real then I have a hard time believing it because they would need a second reference point to ensure it doesn't gravitate around another object unless the rotational cycle was so fast that they could see where it started and ended in days...I don't think so. I mean you can't just find an object in space as a planet and say "I know its path already" without some help from other objects in the sky. Or you see it start and finish in the same place.

It is thought by some that brown dwarfs are the most popular objects in the galaxy.

Ok, so you want to start a debate over an article you didn't read. Fyi, yes, the planet doesn't gravitate any star.

No I don't want to debate. I just have a hard time believing anything put out concerning the heavens. Sorry, I have been lied to way to many times. Not your fault and I didn't mean to come across so negative. I'm sure there is something to the article, but what to believe I don't know. I didn't lie about my computer...its jacked. Sorry.

I understand that it would be a huge find because then it defy gravity as we know it for other planets and we could use that. So I get it. Who knows. I apologize if I came across wrong. I won't be a thread killer. Its good to watch the heavens so I will be on my merry.

By calculating its excentricity you can see if it has an elliptical, hyperbolic or parabolic orbit.

The last 2 mean that the object does not circulate around another object.

Only elliptical orbits ( and circular as a special case ) mean that 2 bodies rotate around eachother.

I can relate to the planet. I'm also wandering through life without a star.

Cool.

Nasa has found a planet
 Quoting: erchoz

Nope.

Pan-STARRS did.

Where does this myth come from that everything related to space is done by NASA and NASA alone?
That couldn't be further from the truth.

Shame Nasa's website is down due to your gov shutdown. Also real shame we can't access any past pages there either. Seems like the site has been pulled from the net altogether.

You saying "impossible" to wandering planets????
Just checking because last i heard was, that it is an absolute fact that planets can get dislodged from their orbits and travel through space without orbiting a sun.
