EBT card not working

The problem is not welfare or food stamps or any of the other eater enabling fucking programs.

A - This is a corporation, not a country.
B - Our corporation spends every bit of the money you, the employee, generates on everything BUT you.

Retake the republic and food stamps will not be needed.

It is called COMMON SENSE: if you (or anyone) cannot afford to feed yourself, you are a fool to instead pay for entertainment and expect other people to pay for your food!

Computer glitch shuts down state EBT system

Computer problems with JPMorgan Chase is preventing Florida Electronic Benefit Transfer (EBT) card holders from using their cards at stores.

The cards are used by recipients of cash and food assistance for buying items at grocery, convenience and other stores that accept EBT purchases.

While the system is down, the Department of Children and Families reports stores can choose to run a manual processing of up to $40. Wal-Mart stores have the ability to do manual transactions up to $100.

The agency will keep the public updated on the situation, which started around 7 a.m. Friday, on their Twitter and Facebook pages

I lost my job after having twin boys with my wife and having to spend 4 months in the hospital with one of them. Did I take unemployment? Welfare? Food Stamps? Hell no. The very first thing I did was spruce up my resume, got it online to three or four online job posting sites and boom, a week or so later I had a job. I also had a (drumroll) SAVINGS account. See kids, you don't HAVE to spend every single penny you make. The funny thing is once upon a time in the land of Oz there used to be a group of citizens smart enough to save money without the government doing it for them in a bullshit Ponzi scheme called Social Security.

So stop worrying about maybe losing a job and what are you going to do for money. The only one who has a responsibility to make sure you and your family are taken care of is you. In a free society the people must have personal responsibility for their own lives and that of their family. Families must learn how to take care of each other again.

Stop making up excuses for why we need government assistance because there is none. Plain and simple. Take care of you and yours or don't. But don't look to your left and right for a handout.

Well, this is not the sentiment expressed in your previous posts. Glad to see you do have some compassion. I never said there wasn't abuse of the system, just implied that there are people that are desperately in need of assistance, due to no fault of their own. Who knows, you may end up needing some help, possibly sooner rather than later.. Hope you remember the disgust for people you displayed here, if that day does come.

I'm watching CSPAN right now, and an elderly gentleman from LA just called in saying that EBT cards aren't working statewide, and they (the customers) are being told by the grocery stores it's due to the govt shutdown. And the food stamp website and customer service number isn't working!

This is going to be BAD if this is nationwide and isn't fixed soon....I live in the capital city of my state (OH) where food stamps are NOT working, and I'm seriously thinking of getting the hell outta here for a few days.
