The country was ready to impeach him for just that. Compare that to what the current POTUS has gotten away with already. Quoting: oh_yikes But, it dragged out so long he ultimately wasn't impeached, it turned out to be the wrong move. I know he was never impeached, but I am remembering the outrage over what was such a minor transgression compared to what we tolerate now in our leadership. Bill Clinton WAS impeached, he just wasn't removed from office.. Impeachment is kind of like indictment (in the best way I can explain it) the HOUSE impeached Clinton but the senate acquitted him. Elouina User ID: 47453144 United States 10/12/2013 09:46 PM Report Abusive Post Report Copyright Violation | But she argued it may be necessary because citizens are on the cusp of civil disobedience because they’re so fed up with Obama’s “thuggery.” Quoting: Oldmotherhubbard “I think we could be on the cusp of seeing civil disobedience — I’m not saying I want civil disobedience — but people aren’t going to take the thuggery of this president much longer,” she said. “We see thuggery going on in the White House, we’re not going to take it. We’ve drawn a line in the sand, and we’re telling the president you need to recognize ... that you are a co-equal branch of government. You are not a dictator.” [link to thehill.com] Sadly a house impeachment wouldn't remove him from office though. But it would make a statement. And either it will scare him straight or he would make a drastic move. You know folks have said that I have a bit of a psychic twinkle. Last night, I had a repeat dream that I have had for decades. There were two rooms full of people side by side. One large and full of every day people and the other much smaller, but filled with political figures. The people in the large room were concerned about the happenings in the small room since they seemed to be collaborating. Many of the people in the large room said, nah there is nothing wrong going on. All of the sudden the lights in the large room went dark, while they could still see the lights on in the small room. They sat there bewildered, and then it hit them. The US had been taken over by a dictator, and it was too late to do anything. Last Edited by Elouina on 10/12/2013 09:47 PM |

But my point is, Clinton's transgressions seem so much less egregious than the stuff Obama has done. Have we become that jaded that we accept all of the scandals and corruption as just part of the job now? |

Democratic VP nominee Biden releases medical records [link to www.cnn.com] Wow, that certainly explains things! I'd always felt some weird sense of empathy because he seemed to pathetic, which I normally never would for a politician. It's just obvious he literally is damaged, and there's the proof. I'd sleep much better at night if he was president over obama. Not saying much, but biden is too damaged to be of much threat. He's good at turning the whole nation against him in a hurry, something the NWO would not like. He probably wouldn't live long as president after screwing up their plans due to stupidity. Kind of like Pinocchio biden is not a tangible life form within his damaged brain just a fool controlled by strings just as his counterpart obama it puts things into perspective. |

Realistically his polling numbers should be zero or less. Right now his numbers ain't so good, but somehow they don't drop into single digits. How the fuck does he do this? It's like he can see the future and knows exactly what strings to pull without getting impeached. I still don't know how he got re-elected. Yeah, you PTB tards will say he is a puppet and the corporations run everything but I'm still not on board with that. The wheels should have fell of this thing years ago, yet he keeps on trucking. |

It would be an unconstitutional act by the U.S. House to have an Impeachment HEARING... It is the U.S. House's power to pass a Resolution for Impeachment.. when and if such Impeachment Resolution is passed by the full U.S. House, then it is the task and responsiblity of the U.S. SENATE to execute the Impeachment Hearing... Coma much, Backmann? |
Anonymous Coward User ID: 1419828 United States 10/12/2013 10:01 PM Report Abusive Post Report Copyright Violation | impeachment is an expression of dissatisfaction and a recommendation for removal. The framers thought it would be employed often, whenever an officeholder's character or integrity was impeached by his questionable conduct. King 0 being a reprehensible usurper, and vulgar destroyer has impeached himself. The House ought to acknowledge it formally. |

As much as I would like to see that happen for a variety of reasons, the House doesn't have the balls and Harry Reid's Senate is not capable of an honest trial or anything close to justice. Quoting: Resister Not enough honest people left in Washington's District of Criminals. Not happening. I talked with my own U.S. House Rep the day of Sept 12, 2001 and called for the Impeachmentn of Bush for war crimes.. I have been calling for Impeachment of then Bush and now Obama for most of their respective terms. Not enough honest people with courage in the U.S. House. Time to call in the cards, and call for a new hand, perhaps chance might give us a Full House with which to Impeach Obama for High Crimes and Misdemeanors.. ah, but then we would run right into that hairy reed. |
