Not a political type but it seems to me they did the same in the House as was done in the senate where everything goes through one man, Harry Reid. Probably not a good thing but they probably felt they had no choice as it seems reid is the guy causing all the problems. |

It appears to me that this Speaker Pro Temp is doing nothing more that pure dictorial decree without any law whatsoever behind it. And even the Parlimentarians there are in on it... Very strange, very dangerous. |

Further more the Speaker Pro Temp's citation of H.R. 368 is notable in that H.R. 368 has not even ever been passed in a vote.. again from Thomas.gov H.R.368 Latest Title: To amend title 10, United States Code, to require an audiometric test of each member of the Armed Forces before the separation of the member. Anyone who has ever paid any attention to the House of Rep. is well aware that the rules are simply a sham. They pretend that there is rule of law but it's a show and nothing more. This kind of thing has been going on for years. Quoting: Anonymous Coward 48303729 True enough... and very few have even called them on the carpet for it... |

Looks to me that the Republicans FINALLY beat the Democrats at their own parliamentary gamesmanship! Here, here!! Quoting: Anonymous Coward 47916277 Yes, both houses of congress change the rules all the time. This is likely in retaliation for Harry Reid being the only one allowed to do this in the Senate. About time the House did this! One of the most important aspects of conspiracy theories is being able to discern when there isn't one. Oh yeah, like you'd understand anyway. Where are we going and why am I in this handbasket?. . .J. Handy |
