As far as being safe in the USA: As long as you're polite & friendly, you have nothing to fear. I recently returned from a trip to Europe, I met many young people from Romania, Philippines, Croatia, Hungary, Netherlands, Germany & Austria. The ones who were the most interested in me & what the average American thinks & believes were the Romanians, Croatians & Hungarians. The Austrians, Germans & Dutch, while they were not rude, they were not overly friendly either.

At all times during my lengthy visit to Europe, I was aware that I was a guest in another's country. If you do the same, you should be just fine. Remember, only the outrageous makes the US mainstream media news. Most of us are just like you.

With that said, it would be wise to avoid anything political. Americans are disgusted with all politicians. Most believe they have been deceived by Pres. O. I believe that if one had been paying attention to the facts, they would not have been deceived in the 1st place. So, it's best to have no opinion about either Barry or Michelle. In fact, pretend you've never heard of them when you visit.
