CARRIE : Its about Virgin Blood Sacrifice

Ive been thinking about the blood symbolism in Carrie. The movie begins with Carrie’s first menstruation: First Blood. It is the beginning of her powers: An initiation. The second blood initiation is the pig's blood. It has a strange religious symbolism as Carrie is effectively given a Blood Sacrifice and Carrie’s powers become godlike. Now she has a taste for blood and goes on a rampage… (like kali)…Then she calms and washes the blood off but this is just in prep for her third blood – her mother/Creator. Finally. having become pure Destroyer Carrie kills herself …

In the end she Brings the House Down – it is the Samson Option. Carrie as Destroyer is a Suicide Bomber… Sort of like JAPAN & Fukushima… The Japanese suicide bomber is KAMIKAZE

DUH OP, have you not read the stephen king novel? It was clear in the book. The original film was well done imo, as a horror fan, it was one of the better 70s films.


Not sure i will see the remake though, because well remakes generally suck.

I hate to date myself but I read the book when it first came out and saw the original film in the theater.
It's not about blood sacrifice.
The bucket of blood at the prom is tied to Carrie's first period in the gym shower.
It's about a telekinetic living in a dysfunctional home.
It's about bullying, mental disorder, being naive and what happens when you humiliate the telekinetic in public.
King also kinda rehashed the confused telekinetic in Fire Starter.
These are the kind of stories you get from a guy with a demented mind who used to drink a case of beer a day while writing.

I started watching American Horror Story: Coven the other night and was struck by the witches PK/TK power. (We've touched on this.)Anyway the show mentioned that NICOLAS CAGE - Mortez's handler in Kiss ASS - owned the home of a famous WITCH/Murderess played by Bates in show. It seemed like a very odd estate for him to acquire.
