We are left to consider the potential havoc zombie-Patrick will have at the prison camp in the episode’s final scene cliffhanger. The storyline implications for this new development are endless. The show starts with its weakest opener yet of the series. Rick, looking more like a farmer these days than a cop is seen digging in the prison yard. Rick digs up a gun while the usual swarms of zombies hiss and make ghoulish faces grasping at the chain link fence that establishes the perimeter for the colony. Scary stuff. After the break we are subjected to several scenes of mushy romance crap; Daryl and Carol flirt with each other, the disbelievable relationship with Glenn and Maggie and their endless suffering continues and Zach and Beth share an onscreen kiss before Zach gets killed 20 minutes later.. oops sorry SPOILER ALERT. Con't @ [ link to www.westcoasttruth.com] I strongly disagree with that review. The reason I and many like the walking dead is because it's not jus one long zombie movie. Not just killing zombies over and over. It's about life after such an apocalypse. Things move forward, always. Adapt or die. Season 4 opener was about 6 months after season 3 ended. They have built a community, a false ssense of safety. I enjoy the fact that it's more than just zombie killing. It's about life after a Z-apocalypse. Although, from what I hear, this season will be pretty intense. I also heard it will be intense starting next episode. Fair enough. Here is another one after season 2: The Walking Dead SUCKS!Chances are if you're a fan of zombie films and The Walking Dead, you already think I'm an asshole. But please hear me out, as I'm one of you! I was bitten by the zombie fairy some time ago. It may have started with The Return of the Living Dead somewhere between Linnea Quigley’s (aka Trash, the pink-haired punk-rockette,) nude scene, that puts Jamie Lee Curtis' flashing in Trading Places to shame and to no lesser extent, Thriller by Michael Jackson. This was the golden era of zombie cinema. Today's fast-moving rabid zombie, bear little resemblance to the slow 80's version. I say George A. Romero and John Russo got it right; zombies move at a relentless, yet dragging pace. No matter how many you kill, their numbers keep growing. This establishes a Hitchcock-style atmosphere and plays far more like a psychological terror than pure gore. Not that I'm saying The Walking Dead is gory, it just simply isn't a psychologically terrifying show. It's essentially a soap-opera that just-so-happens to have zombies. Love his zombie movies!
