This person may be doing that. But many of us see what is likely to come down the pike and feel obliged to express our feelings on this conspiracy site to give people more to think about and perhaps prepare better.

People like you are going to have to face the truth that no matter how uncomfortable it makes you feel. The truth is it is going to crash at some point. It is just a question of when not if.

All they are doing is kicking the can down the road for a few more months. Some of us figure that if it is going to happen then lets get on with it. The sooner we go through this hell the faster we can clean up the mess, get rid of the criminals and rebuild for our children.

Even when the fiscal cliff is reached we can do the ol' bill collector routine - "Oh hay what's up China?...Ya! Noooooo of course NOT,,,dodging your calls don't be ridiculous,,,,just been really REALLY busy lately....you know how it goes, right? So how's it going with you????,,,, Ohhhhh, ya that silly thing...sure, don't wooooorrrry, checks in the mail. Of course!!!

I think what people have to remember is that as far as the debt owed to China, its not like their getting screwed over even if we never pay it back. They're not stupid. Our strong economy and our dollar being so much stronger than theirs is what has allowed them to produce almost everything we buy for decades now. That has grown their economy massively. If they have to sacrifice some money they will never get back that's a risk I'm sure they've already calculated.

If the dollar does indeed crash, which I believe it will eventually, then Chinese made goods won't look so good anymore. If a shitty chair from china costs $40 and a handmade chair from the US costs $200, you're going to buy the Chinese one, even though its junk. If that same piece of junk costs $120 vs a handmade one for $200, you're gonna think twice about shelling out that kind of money for garbage. Might as well just spend a little more and get the real thing. This why I believe that China desperately needs a strong dollar.

Don't get me wrong, this will be catastrophic, but there are always silver linings.
