Re: GUYS, is there a REALISTIC chance that the HOUSE WON'T PASS the deal today?
It will pass. Paul, Lee & Cruz already said they won't fight it.
 Quoting: Jetpack42

Maybe because they KNOW it won't pass in the House?

The vote was delayed until sometimes AFTER 3 p.m., when the GOP leaders will MEET to DISCUSS the Senate deal. Not to VOTE on it.

So, the House will vote after 3 p.m. May be 4 p.m. or 11 p.m.

At this point , the Senate deal DO NOT HAVE THE VOTES NEEDED TO PAS in the House. If they had them, the bill would have been voted already.
 Quoting: recollector

When Cruz was asked (live on camera), if he would block it he said "what's the other question"....He evaded whether he would block it or not..

Thanks you USA for the Hollywood Theater, it was really exciting, I bet 1000 USD on non-default, against Uncle Soros, and I won! lol

Amazing acting by the US politician fools though, they did a great job, I almost thought for a second that they won't raise the debt limit.

WH deserves an Oscar for the excellent play! hehe

Re: GUYS, is there a REALISTIC chance that the HOUSE WON'T PASS the deal today?
Just called my House rep again. He's a pretty solid Tea Party type conservative. I advised him to vote no and I expect that he will be a no vote. I also advised him to remove Boehner as speaker... again.

Lastly, I recommended that if the house votes to approve this, he should run as a libertarian next time because the last time the Tea Party was this pissed at the house 65 reps lost their seats in 2010. Boehner, McConnell, and others like them are ensuring the collapse of the GOP.
"God forbid we should ever be 20 years without such a rebellion. The people cannot be all, & always, well informed... If they remain quiet under such misconceptions it is a lethargy, the forerunner of death to the public liberty... Let them take arms... What signify a few lives lost in a century or two? The tree of liberty must be refreshed from time to time with the blood of patriots & tyrants. " - Thomas Jefferson in 1787

Something could happen today that could change everything in the blink of an eye.

A miracle is needed at this point.

Without a miracle we are watching a dictatorship and the total death of the two party system.

I feel very sad today.
 Quoting: Anonymous Coward 1445528

death of the 2 party system.. not terrible thing.. death of just the GOP so the Dems run wild... very bad.
 Quoting: webbyBird

I guess you made what I am feeling clearer. Dems are running wild. I have a small online business. It doesn't ever make me over 500.00 a month. That's okay because it supplements my income.

Since this Obamacare thing started in earnest I have not had one sale. The women who buy from me are middle income. There disposable income has been done away with because of higher insurance costs and fewer hours at work.

I've been busy today, and am just getting caught up again, but isn't this new deal to fund the gov't and raise the ceiling for a few months? Didn't Barry say he didn't want to kick the can down the road and wouldn't approve something like that? Or did I miss something?

It will NOT pass.

Because the government was shut down due to "money" (which is just BOOK ENTRY).

The government shutdown was PLANNED to create CHAOS so people do not pay attention to the REAL ISSUE ...

THE TENTH PLANET coming ABOVE and all the ramifications from that!

 Quoting: Anonymous Coward 47003357

And here folks is proof positive there will be a last minute deal. Nibiru tards think the shutdown is to prevent anyone from noticing a mythical planet that only they can see with their naked eyes.

GLP Effect in Motion. Deal will get done. Can will be kicked down the road. All will be fucked a little harder in the process. That was the plan from the beginning.

they are saying they have not even seen the bill yet and cannot say that they have a deal in the house
 Quoting: Ghetto Monk

That's what I'm thinking. The media report a deal has been put together but what are the fucking clauses?

"Here's the deal, we can raise the debt ceiling, but we are going to have to cut more of the budget in order for another debt ceiling to be agreed in Feb 2014".

I can see these cuts being extremely drastic and I can bet my mother on this, it won't come from cutting congress salaries, military 'missions' or taxing corporations. It will all end on the shoulders of the lower earners who can not afford to fight back.

I hate fucking government and I don't even live there!

No. The last deal they did discuss did NOT cut government spending. It INCREASED it. The "cuts" are from benefits programs. AKA Social Security. In other words, they are going to move the retirement age back to 70 or so.

Hey, what the heck. I think it will fail by one vote.

There are enough die hard conservatives to be able to call Obama and Reid's bluff.

Time for Reid and Obama to lay down their cards and see who is the liar.

Besides, I think that if they do call the bluff, then the Republican party will come out stronger in the aftermath.
