Actually I personally took this video off the back balcony of our business this morning. Not fake, just a video of something that we noticed in the morning sky.

Its a plane for f.sake.

Obviously swamp gas.

Short plane contrail, similar to this ( [link to i.imgur.com] - see here for what it really was Thread: There REALLY IS something strange in western sky around sunset...!!! (Page 150) ). I was also out with my telescope at 6:45 this morning. Actually from about 6:00 all the way to sunrise. By 6:45 I was taking calibration frames following my ISON webcast. There was no such object above the horizon, and I had a clear view all the way down to the eastern horizon. Saw the sun as it came up.

Contrail I reckon. The setting sun illuminates contrails in a unique way so these always seem to "appear" around sunset. There are loads of planes in the sky, many with repeatable flight paths.

it does look like it could be a plane with contrails lit up by the sun. but........ it also looked, despite the shaky camera, like it didn't move. ???

Really doesn't matter that you didn't see it. Eastern sky, east of Orange County, California, 6:45 a.m. this morning, 10/17/2013. Went down behind the mountains by around 6:55 a.m.

For you to speak as if you are an amateur astronomer, as I have been for many years while not pursuing my 20 year career as an engineer (EE), and state that because you did not see it, it did not happen, doesn't sound very intelligent.

looks a lot like PX in the sky.. always can tel lwhen a real thread with real info then Dr astro shill shows up to try and earn his pay

IF it is an object that is permanently in our skies, and not just a random plane with contrails, it should be easy to prove that.

OP, if you can see it from your office balcony every morning, would it be possible to record it for 5 minutes or so, without zooming or shaking, and preferably with some kind of reference point in the picture?

if it doesn't move in those 5mins, we'll know it's not a plane. fair enough?

Yes, we've noticed that Dr. Astro rails considerably against things he doesn't understand.

Did I say it didn't happen? No I did not. For you to put words in my mouth that I did not speak does not sound very intelligent either. I believe your video is real, but it does not show a celestial object. We were both observing the eastern sky this morning before sunrise. If that were a real celestial object, it would have been plainly visible to me as well. I had perfectly clear skies and a clear line of sight down to the eastern horizon. And yes, I am an amateur astronomer. Myself and many other amateur astronomers from all over the nation will be at Chiefland Fall Star Party in 2 weeks. I hope to see you there...
