Man calls 911 over 1-cent beer overcharge

Danny Smith, 51, bought a Heineken at a store in Memphis on Monday, but felt the clerk overcharged him by a penny, The Commercial Appeal reported.

The clerk refused to give him the 1 cent he felt he was owed, so Smith called 911 -- not once, but twice.

Then, police say, he called the non-emergency number to complain about police not helping him with his complaint.
