5 Months, No Meat . Doing great!
Decided to go vegetarian. 5 months now, no meat. Not even eggs. Veggies, and vegetarian based protein. After some time at this, you will instinctively know which vegetarian foods have protein.
Avoid desserts after food. They are bad for you. YOu want to have sweets and desserts and icecream , have it an hour after food.
Use food separation to combine your foods.

cheers

Most popular lentil curry in India: DAL FRY.
Cooked lentils sauteed in oil, garlic, onions and spices.
Served with flattened bread, brown bread or toast.

Animal protein is considered to be a more “complete” protein. What do I mean by that? Protein from things such as chicken or beef contain all the necessary amino acids our body needs to make new protein since animal proteins are most similar to the ones found in our body. Proteins from plant sources such as soy or vegetables generally do not contain all of the essential amino acids that our body needs.

There is a flip side, though. As many of us know, animal protein can be extremely high in cholesterol and fat, particularly saturated fat, which can be a serious risk factor for cardiovascular disease. Protein from plants and other vegetables tend to be much lower in saturated fat and cholesterol. Case in point? An 8-ounce ribeye steak contains 64 grams of protein, but also contains a whopping 34 grams of fat, 13 of them saturated. And let’s not forget the cholesterol — 260 milligrams, more than 80 percent of the daily recommended value. Yikes. A cup of cooked lentils packs 18 grams of protein but less than 1 gram of fat.

Bottom line? If you’re a vegetarian, make sure that you mix up your proteins (eat a variety of nuts, legumes, whole grains, and of course fruits and veggies) to ensure that you’re getting a variety of amino acids, all of which your body needs.

Cheese, Mr.Brief.
And other vegetarian sources .
Dates! Pretty good amount of fat in them dates.

One can also opt for a semi-vegitarian diet. Meat once or twice a week. And then slowly completely remove meat from their diet.

I went a year without, and just ate veggies. I lost 80 pounds and felt great. I slipped about 4 months ago, and the weight started coming back. I really need to get back in line and drop the swill again.

Btw, I love the avatar. Aeon Flux is great, and Charlize Theron is hot.

Thanks. Although the movie has the illuminati signature of the pyramid with the one eye, and even my avatar has only one eye visible, I see Aeon Flux as a fighter who fights the Illuminates.

Humans are omnivores, not herbivores...plant based Omega3 is no where near as good as animal based...there are lots of nutrients you are probably not getting by abstaining from meat. I suggest you get a degree in nutrition if you are going to be a vegetarian or vegan.
