When it appeared I thought how strange it was to see this red object. I have watched stars change colors and this one remains orange/red. I made a video of it. It looks like the pics you have. Here are some pics I took from the video. Wish I knew what it was. The moon was out although it was still light out. Of course the picture is 2 dimensial so exacyly is impossible. |

What looks like black in his pictures is in fact not black. sigh. I am telling you, pixels mean everything. Do you know how many pixels get dropped to convert an image from 600 or 300, down to the 72 pixels you get from the internet??? A lot. And in those dropped pixels is all the information you wish you had. If i had the original image it would be different, but all you are doing is messing around with a low res image. Anything you can come up with could likely be contributed to pixelation or compression. not actual phenomenon :malefav: I love this place!! |

It is...NEVER...orange. I've been watching the skies for several decades now and have seen Venus incalculable times and it...is...not...orange. Ever. It is a bright white "star". Always. But I have to tell you once again....if you saw something orange in the night sky....regardless of what shows up on the camera...that is NOT Venus. Venus IS NOT ORANGE. ANY TIME.
