Anonymous Coward User ID: 27292 United States 05/22/2006 05:17 PM Report Abusive Post Report Copyright Violation | I remember those days. Pope Clement played a double game of sympathy to King (pretty boy) Philip, and at the same time warned the templars. I fled the monastery in Paris for Scotland along with many others. In Scotland we earned our keep by fighting with the Bruce against the English in the Battle of Bannock Burn. We had enough gear to dress up a huge detachment, so as an apprentice I got the chance to put on the whole armor of a knight. Many others did also, but the real knights were at the head of three columns that approached the battlefield from different directions in the foggy morning. The English just saw us, with more and more appearing, deliberate and slow, completely unconcerned with what they thought. A knight from the English charged and one of ours killed him with one blow. The English were so scared they turned and ran, leaving everything on the battlefield. Very quick battle. I have read Pinkham's books. Some is true, some is fanciful. He puts in everything but the kitchen sink. Fun to read though. Again... part of his writing is correct. |

Quoting: Zaphod Beeblbrox 83027The Knight Templar's are affiliated with the Freemasons in the York Rite branch as Knight Templar's. All other affiliations are purely speculation. The two Knight Templar organizations located in the UK and Switzerland are Knight Templar organizations of their own standing with no known affiliation with the Knight Templar's of the Masons York Rites.
