An earthquake with a magnitude on 6.6 struck central Chile on Saturday afternoon, US Geological Service (USGS) reported. There were no immediate reports of damage, however, it reportedly shook buildings as far away as in the capital city Santiago, Reuters said. The quake was registered at the depth of 32 kilometers (20 miles) and its epicenter was 50 kilometers (31 miles) north-northeast of the port city of Valparaiso, according to the USGS. Valparaiso is home to over 280,000 residents. The service has revised the magnitude of the quake upwards from the originally reported 6.3. Witnesses on Twitter and in local media reported power cuts and some problems with the cellphone network. Chile's navy said there was no tsunami risk
