OPSEC Fail!! - Former NSA Chief Hayden was Giving "Off the Record" Interviews on Acela Train; Guy Next to him Live Tweeted Entire Thing
The former NSA chief was giving interviews (just cite me as former senior administration official, please) on the Acela train from DC to New York.

The guy next to him was tweeting about it the whole time. Hilarious

Here are some of the highlights

Tom Matzzie (@tommatzzie)

Former NSA spy boss Michael Hayden on Acela behind me blabbing "on background as a former senior admin official" Sounds defensive.

Hayden was bragging about rendition and black sites a minute ago.

On Acela: phone ringing. I think the jig is up. Maybe somebody is telling him I'm here. Do I hide?

I think I'm safe. Just passed Philly. No rendition yet. Do I have the balls to ask him for a photo? #haydenacela

look who his seat mate was...

Tom Matzzie is a political strategist who used to run the D.C. branch of MoveOn.org Political Action. He sat in front of former NSA and CIA director Michael Hayden on an Amtrak Acela train today. Hayden was being interviewed by a number of reporters, including Time‘s Massimo Calabresi, and in each case he talked to on the condition that he only be identified as a “former senior administration official.”

Your title seemed interesting but then I fapped to your avatar. Now I can't even remember why I clicked on this thread. For shame OP. For shame.

media report -

Former National Security Agency director Michael Hayden is more used to being the one listening in on conversations than the one being eavesdropped on himself. The tables were turned on Thursday, however, as Hayden suddenly found his supposedly private conversations blasted across the Internet.

Riding on the Acela express train between New York and Washington, DC, Hayden had the bad luck of sitting near entrepreneur and former MoveOn.org director Tom Matzzie. “Former NSA spy boss Michael Hayden on Acela behind me blabbing ‘on background as a former senior admin official’,” Matzzie wrote on his Twitter account. “Sounds defensive.” For the next twenty minutes, Mattzie continued to livetweet Hayden’s conversations slamming the Obama administration, all the while insisting that he be referred to only on background.

I would expect many more of these events as Mr. Apocalypse continues to shine a light on these cockroaches.
Ah yes, the "Apocalypse" is not what you think it might be.

Re: OPSEC Fail!! - Former NSA Chief Hayden was Giving "Off the Record" Interviews on Acela Train; Guy Next to him Live Tweeted Entire Thing
Former Director of the CIA and head of the National Security Agency Michael Hayden had his cover blown today on the Acela train by Tom Matzzie, a political strategist who used to run the D.C. branch of MoveOn.org, according to Dylan Matthews at The Washington Post.
According to Matzzie, Hayden was on a call with reporters and was speaking under the condition of anonymity, intending to be cited only as "a former senior administration official."

Mr. Hayden gave Tom his wish and got a picture taken with him on the train. I can't imagine he was too upset about being overheard. IF you look at his smile, he seems completely fine about it.

Actually that's all a bit weird - could it be a media stunt and he did that on purpose?

Hayden's office called him and told him that the guy was live tweeting his phone calls. What could Hayden do? He went over & talked to the guy

AND the guy was not some random Joe.

He was former executive director of MoveOn.org - George Soros's anti-war group. Tom had an agenda.

Would any "civilian" who didn't have an agenda even recognize Hayden?

Talking about it on CNN now

Michael Hayden, director of the spy agency at the centre of the Edward Snowden controversy from 1999-2005, was overheard by a liberal blogger on the Acela Express briefing against the Obama administration to a journalist, who proceeded to live tweet his indiscretions.
