I signed up using my real name and info. OMG! Yeah that was stupid of me. But now I am sleepless. I have had sleepless nights since signing up on [link to www.healthcare.gov.] My sleepless nights is due to a non stop ringing of my land line AND cellphone. The calls are from telemarketers FOR medical benefits! When you talk to them they have NOTHING to do with the ACA(Affordable care act; aka Obamacare. Half of this list is from the same company just with different phone numbers. My phone is virtually silent most of the time. I do not play any face book games or do any online surveys. The only thing I did in the past 3 days on the internet between then and now, is sign up for Obamacare, and post this thread. Here is my call list of people that called me, the DAY after signing up for obamacare. 1-212-677-5122 - NY,NY - free medical alert system scam 1-802-503-1435 - Burlington, VT - medicaid scam 1-864-412-3327 - Greenville, SC - medicaid scam 1-920-320-1960 - Manitowoc. WI - free medical alert system scam 1-617-752-2955 - Boston, MA - recording asking if FBI can put a sign in your yard, in return they give free home security system. 1-213-271-1645 - Los Angeles, CA - Microsoft Windows scam. They ask you to install TeamViewer and to give them the ID of it for remote access. 1-786-345-1584 - Miami, FL - free medical alert system scam 1-203-364-9685 - Newtown, CT - recording asking if FBI can put a sign in your yard, in return they give free home security system. 1-732-201-2428 - Keansburg, NJ - Unknown. 1-775-800-7054 - Reno, NV - medical alert bracelet for diabetes 1-734-418-9006 - Ann Arbor, MI - free medical alert system scam 1-206-397-1895 - Seattle, WA - Unknown 1-561-672-3665 - Boca Raton, FL - Unknown 1-866-897-0208 - Debt Relief 1-646-612-3456 - Microsoft Windows scam. I get random phone calls from numbers like these, in the AM. EARLY AM. 3AM even. Did Obamacare sell my info overseas? Almost every time someone on the other end of these numbers pronounce my name wrong and with a India accent.

Signing up is for a username and password to log into the site to GET information about healthcare. Signing IN does not work for me even after signing up!

Just got another call. 1-786-345-1584 - Asked MY NAME and asked if I had diabetes and if I did I was able to get free shipment on insulin. It was automated and asked me to press 1 on the keypad to talk to a representative.....

Then they have a pause for voice input, or request the person to press a digit. Once you do either the above, they know they have a working number. Now, you're on the list to be called regularly. Do NOT say anything, or press any digits. Your best bet is to simply not answer any unrecognizeable numbers. And report the numbers to the registry as a scam

Update: Went and got a prepaid phone using cash. No name had to be presented. I then signed up under the healthcare.gov website using a fake name and the phone number of my pre-paid. I have not received a single call yet. My home land line tho has doubled in the amount of calls that I posted in the OP. I am getting calls from EVERY STATE. The phone number is not the same yet they are all from the same company.
