Could be more than that, but going on the type of sentences given to drug traffickers a shoot out would be expected, death or death.. But still could be more than that.. |

[link to www.csmonitor.com] Experts at a prestigious think tank in Pakistan recommended late Wednesday the government renegotiate the natural gas import price with Iran under a Pakistan-Iran gas pipeline project due for commissioning by the end of next year [link to www.globalpost.com] Don't forget this little development right in Pakistan's Balochistan province bordering Iran: Pakistan's Gwadar port may get special 'China' status In a move that could put a dent in an already fragile relationship between Pakistan and the United States, the Nawaz Sharif government is likely to give a special status to its strategically important Gwadar port similar to that of Hong Kong. Pakistan has already given operational control and management of Gwadar, a deep-sea port on the Arabian Sea, to a Chinese company. But a special status to Gwadar may empower China to control the entire location. Read more: [link to www.dailymail.co.uk] Follow us: @MailOnline on Twitter | DailyMail on Facebook [link to www.dailymail.co.uk] Gwadar Port is located at the apex of the Arabian Sea and at the mouth of the Persian Gulf, approximately 460 km (290 mi) west of Karachi, 75 km (47 mi) east of Pakistan's border with Iran and 380 km (240 mi) km northeast of the nearest point in Oman across the Arabian Sea. It is situated on the eastern bay of a natural hammerhead-shaped Peninsula protruding into the Arabian Sea from the coastline. Gwadar Port is situated near the strategic Strait of Hormuz and its busy trading and oil shipping lanes. The surrounding region is home to around two-thirds of the world's oil reserves. It is also the nearest warm-water seaport to the landlocked, but energy rich, Central Asian Republics and landlocked Afghanistan.[1 [link to en.wikipedia.org] |
