Will Deli-Sliced Salami last a month in the fridge?
Got some boar's head salami at the deli on Sep. 29th and its been lost and forgotten in the fridge for almost a month. Is it okay to eat? I know salami lasts longer than turkey or ham because of the curing but how long is it good for? It looks feels and smells fine.

The old saying is 'when in doubt, throw it out.'

No, throw it out, salami is quite a dodgy meat, being uncooked.

I would not eat that past 3 days. Why but so much meat to let it sit in the fridge? Just buy what you need for a day or 2 at the butcher and go back if you need more.

Perhaps buy some different cuts. Have some conversation with your local butcher. Get some cheese's too.

Meat N Cheese mmmmmm tasty.

yep eat it all and then wait 12 hours. if you don't get food poisoning, that means it was okay to eat. if you get food poisoning, that is an indication that you shouldn't of eaten it

Smell it. If it smells fine, it's fine.

That said, a month is a long time, so if you want to be safe, be safe.

salami is a sausage and it is cured. In the old days it would be stored for up to a year without refrigeration. Go for it. It won't kill ya. might taste a little off. If you're really scared of getting food poisoning, cook it up.
