I understand your anger, but some people (like myself) have their hearts on their tongues and tell it like it is. I think it's better than "honey, you're still sexy" while they think the opposite. I just think it's sad to stop a relationship (+ he's the fzther of the child) based on 1 sentence. Just my opinion.
After having a baby, a woman's body is all kinds of weird...Foreign, even to herself(for months, even)...It goes through hell..the LAST thing she would want to hear is some bs like that from her husband...
If he were "joking", I doubt he would be her "ex", now.Unless she has learned a lot about body weight and diets and knows her body well. But young women and "naturally thin" women face that problem, some overcome it, some say their relationship with their body is better than ever. I've never had a child, but I know what it's like to get in shape. The first time was the toughest. You learn a few tricks and your body has an incredible memory too. I had to fight to shape my body as a teen. Now it's easy.
