It was average at best, the movie doesn't develop any of the characters and you don't connect with them as people. The black chick is really annoying and just seems like a meddling emotionally driven irrational affirmative action character.

The movie tries to distract from a poorly written screenplay with really flashy CGI. In the end it's not very compelling, just another obvious attempt to cash in on a popular book.
