They communicate with my telepathically. For some reason when I am in the shower they can communicate with me more clearly, something to do with the water.

They have been watching me, and 'participating' in my reality for quite some time now. They have been putting me through certain situations, and keep putting me in those same difficult situations until I overcome what I am meant to learn with the given situation.

It is a highly complex matter as there are multi-dimensional issues at hand. As masters of the light they are able to manifest almost anything they need.

Page 65 of this pdf show's a muscle testing method that works very well for asking questions, just put the guidlines and your muscles will react like open=yes close=no. Lots of the info in this book is correct as far as making a connection and engaging healing techniques with it, but at the end your imagination is the limit.
