SPUD 11/13/2013 05:50 PM Report Abusive Post Report Copyright Violation | ...I have this terrible habit of tossing cigarette butts out the window so I only come when it's wet/not summer. Quoting: SPUD I don't know why all these threads... Please don't do that in Idaho - switch to vape. That's why I only show up maybe every 10 years or so… Fukushima is kinda in my mind about idaho, we'll have to wait and see. Also, you know, the hanford plume extends all the way into that area and most people have wells that aren't in the city… which makes me wonder about the people who died from cancer in years past…. sigh….IDK. Last time I went looking for the plume map…it had been scrubbed. There was lots of sediment in the lake. I did some tubing over the 4th of July and the lake was as high as I've ever seen it that time of year. Forrest Bird's compound is center left. He invented the Bird respirator and is a local philanthropist. Still flies airplanes in his 90s. |

You know what, Californians brought sandpoint some culture, intelligence, class, and free spiritedness. It is beautiful here, and the liberal older hippie crowd here is awesome. Btw, this is coming from someone who is a lifelong vegetarian, owns firearms, and lives off the grid. You were right that we take care of each other here though. And even though you love to talk shit about us Californians, we'll take care of you too, because we're not so closed minded to think that because we're from a different state we're any better. Looking forward to the coming doom. Cheers! |

Onions, sugar beets, and lots of hops here too. Huge areas of hard red winter wheat. Some areas are great mountains and some are great huge farms. BEER! |

The ones who live there, see it mentioned and then glom onto the thread. 2. Ones doing a "the nobody" type thing about 'look up'. 3)those who are actually posting veiled messages/instructions. Waterlily User ID: 57634456 United States 05/27/2014 06:20 PM Report Abusive Post Report Copyright Violation | No that is Southern Idaho....Northern Idaho is all mountains lake and rivers...beauty Fuck Idaho, northern Idaho is NOT special. It is like the most boring part of a COOL state like california or washington, endlessly repeating. Fuck their trees, fuck their lake. Lake Tahoe, now THAT is a beautiful lake. Redwood forests in N. California, THOSE are beautiful forests. Idaho is a cesspool of religitards and closed minded bigots and fake christians who go out of their way to make a show of saying they will never accept the healing of the Creator (cannabis). I cannot tolerate living amongst such backwards, narrowminded assholes who deny the most important natural treasure the Creator gives us. It's like the twilight zone episode where the devil tells the man to leave his dog at the fence, he can't enter. If someone tells you that they don't believe in Cannabis as the healing of mankind's sorrows they are controlled by darkness. That's alright, N California will welcome you. Have fun down there. :-) ***** Skype Me! ***** |

We live 30min from Boise but play up there often, planning to relocate above white bird once my son is out of school....once you get above white bird it's all good. Quoting: Lur~king My Dad trained at Farragut Naval Training Station before WW2, at the state park they have a nice visitors center that shows all the history of the area. They still have a small navy submarine training facility. Are you still around? Can you get any info to us about what was going on at Farragut? |

Quoting: Anonymous Coward 48810991 I always snubbed my nose at that episode, as an avid Twilight Zone fan, it just never appealed to me… :twilizn: But from reading your post, I get the gist of it and sounds like a good episode/story. Regardless, it quite succinctly summarizes my attitude toward such things... If your 'Heaven' is too good for my Dog, suely it is also too good for ME. Far be it for ME to soil YOUR perfection. I'll go elsewhere, thanks anyway. |

Quoting: pork fat rules Well, I'll tell you what. I drove through there a few times up to Bonner Ferry as a truck driver. Sand Point is one Groovy Town. Like going back to the 60's. But aside from that very cool town, all the people and towns up to the Canadian border along that highway, are pretty cool. Nice and green, air smells clean. A goodly kept secret. Sounds a lot like the UP except for the the numerous towns up to the border. |

One of the pics there says "memories of a German POW" What was the navy doing at Farragut before the war (WWII)? Someone told me sonar research Farragut state park was during WW2 a huge military base. Not sure prior to WW2 but I do know that the area was a big commercial fishing spot for Kokanee salmon and currently is a sonar testing site for the USN. |
