2. but with little common sense, ppl will know that these turtles wont last a day or even a few hours so why even bother selling or buying a smelly corpse after all?

I am not definding this behavior and it is kinda cruelty, but maybe the seller had as least set them free on a daily basis and the buyer will set the turtle free and feed it to let the creature last longer...

use your brain here, the major buyers are kids, if anyone have raised the kid, you would know that let their watch their pet die is really breaking their hearts, it doest matter your skin color or culture, its just human nature.
