"The hands of Zerubbabel have laid the foundation of this house, his hands shall also finish it; and thou(you) shall know that the Lord of hosts have sent me unto you."
Zechariah 4:9

"In that day, saith the Lord of hosts, will I take thee, O Zerubbabel, my servant, the son of Shealtiel, saith the LORD, and will make thee as a signet: for I have chosen thee, saith the Lord of hosts."
Haggai 2:23

Do you believe the Two witnesses of Rev. 11.3 are called Joshua and Zerubbabel?

That is what the Spirit has given me as truth.

You are correct, Friend. But, keep reading....

The angel said to those who were standing before him, "Take off his filthy clothes." Then he said to Joshua, "See, I have taken away your sin, and I will put fine garments on you." (Zechariah 3:4)

Re: Two Witnesses of Revelation 11.3 and the Branch
Seems a reference to the Living Sacrifice, if mankind is to share heaven with God they will have to learn to feed off Him spiritually in a very physical way.

Source to Source energy, SELF to Self, the Spirit that dwells within His Eternal Flesh feeding the Spirit in your Eternal Flesh for all of Eternity.

These are why the Interdimensional Seals are so important to the One's Eternal Flesh.

So he can go thru dimensions and not get stuck in all of them in the Macrocasim, this is why Incarnations were chosen in the microcasim.

Please don't take offense to this, personally, however, this is just gibberish to me.

The time of the sealing of the 144,000 is right now. The Two Witnesses of Rev. 11.3 are here. Their "clock" hasn't yet begun. We are currently living in the time of the Sixth Seal and the Sixth trumpet.

Maybe this will give you some guidance.

RockyMtnLady
 Quoting: rockymtnlady

All the seals are prophetic in nature, just like the vision in Daniel about the metal statue.
Seal 1 is when God gives Jesus the authority to pour out the coals from the alter onto the earth. The coals are the sealing part and Saul experienced one such coal, they are the prayers of Saints. The 144,000 and the two witnesses are sealed before the first trump sounds. If they die a few days before the 7thn trump sounds the the 5th seal (prophecy) is about the ones already dead being told to wait until they are dead, you can't be waiting and doing things at the same time.

The two witnesses are not called and then just left sitting there.

None of the trumps have sounded yet and the 6th seal is prophecy about the beginning of the 7th trump and the 7 vials that it brings in.

Only one person in the Bible fits the description in these verses.

Isa:61:1:
The Spirit of the Lord GOD is upon me;
because the LORD hath anointed me to preach good tidings unto the meek;
he hath sent me to bind up the brokenhearted,
to proclaim liberty to the captives,
and the opening of the prison to them that are bound;
Isa:61:2:
To proclaim the acceptable year of the LORD,
and the day of vengeance of our God;
to comfort all that mourn;

Prison is the grave. some OT Prophets came out of the grave the same morning as Jesus.

M't:27:52:
And the graves were opened;
and many bodies of the saints which slept arose,

Re: Two Witnesses of Revelation 11.3 and the Branch
Branch is a certain servant of God, namely the man child in Rev 12:5, for he grows out of the roots of the rod (Jesus Christ), which means that he comes after the the true apostolic church has been ruined by the Antichrist (those many false teachers (2 John 7). Only the roots of the church are left, from where he comes, i.e the uncorrupted words of Holy Scripture.

May God Bless you,
RockyMtnLady

Thanks for the post. Very interesting.

What is, or what are the "uncorrupted words of Holy Scripture"?
- which Bible translation
- which denomination

Peace.
 Quoting: 2012Portal

Hi 2012Portal,

First of all, let me start off by saying that I am in no way an "expert". I simply pass what the Spirit of God, through Jesus Christ gives me to pass.

In order to answer your question, we must look to Scripture (as always). Jesus indicated to us that there would be a complete "falling away" from the truth in John 9:4 As long as it is day, we must do the works of him who sent me. Night is coming, when no one can work.

When "no one can work" means that there would be a complete falling away from the truth. The only thing incorruptible is Holy Scripture. John 17:17 Sanctify them through thy truth: thy word is truth. Thus, it is foretold in Scripture that no denomination, pastor, or pope on this earth right now preaches the truth about Holy Scripture. Scripture tells us that the Two Witnesses of Rev 11.3 will come with the truth but only a few people will hear their message. Please refer to the longest "Two Witnesses" thread to understand more about this.

In regard to translation, I adhere to the King James version but also scan other versions as well for complete understanding.

Thanks for chiming in. May God Bless you on your journey!

RockyMtnLady
 Quoting: rockymtnlady

Thank you RockyMtnLady and I largely agree with what you say and certainly agree that all Truth comes from the The Word. Not a big fan of the King James translations, for it (and many other Mainstream translations) hides the Holy name of God, Jehovah (Yahweh).

Never understood that.

Isaiah 42:8
Darby Translation (DARBY)
8 I am Jehovah, that is my name; and my glory will I not give to another, neither my praise to graven images.

Isaiah 42:8
New King James Version (NKJV)
8 I am the Lord, that is My name;
And My glory I will not give to another,
Nor My praise to carved images.

For the rest, great topic and I mean no disrespect and certainly do not want to derail this threads main topic - about the two witnesses.
 Quoting: 2012Portal

I was just having a day dream (started yesterday) about someone named Darby. Dude, get out of my brain :) And then I got frustrated with YHWH and asked for a little help down here :)

Re: Two Witnesses of Revelation 11.3 and the Branch
Random observations of interest. Do with this information as you will. I typed this out about 5 months ago out of interest. Some is speculation and must be dealt with accordingly.

John is told to eat a scroll from an angel that is at first pleasing and has good flavor, but hurts to digest.
Ezekiel is told to eat a scroll from an angel that has woe and judgment written on it.
There is a scroll that has judgment and woe on it in the book of zechariah.

John is told to measure the worshippers in the temple and leave out the nations (those of wordly-ness).
Zerubbabel has a measuring line to measure the temple.

Man clothed in linen swears there shall be 1260 days left for (?) in book of Daniel (ch. 12)
Ezekiel (ch.9) has a man clothed in linen that puts a seal on believers who accept the gospel in Jerusalem but is told that 6 men with weapons of slaughter will kill the non-accepting people (children/mothers/all). Says many will either accept or deny the gospel (their heads are hard as flint)
Revelation has somebody that seals the Jewish believers (144k)

Zechariah states that the two olive trees feed the lamp with oil and are God’s two anointed ones that stand before the throne. Zerubbabel will bring forth the capstone (Jesus) with shouts of “grace, grace to it! ‘yes, yes, please’”. Zerubbabel had started the work of the temple and he will also finish it. Zerubbabel is told “not by might nor by power, but by my Spirit”. Joshua is told “if you keep my charge and my commands you shall also judge His house and have a spot to walk among those (men of wonder) who stand near”. Joshua is a brand plucked from the fire that the Angel of the Lord has his iniquity removed and places a new crown on His head. His filthy clothes are changed into glorious clean garments.
Malachi states to “remember the law of Moses”, and that before the great and terrible Day of the Lord, His messenger Elijah shall pave the way of the Lord and prepare the hearts of men to receive Christ’s Kingdom.

In 1 Kings there is scripture showing that two cherubim (angels) overshadow the mercy seat (God’s throne) and they are made of olive wood.

At the transfiguration on the Mount, Elijah and Moses appear with the Lord in His glorified Kingdomly apparel, they stand on His left and his right.

John the Baptist laid the foundation for the pathway of the Lord, he was Elijah in spirit. You could argue that he prepared many to receive the true baptism of Christ, that only repenting through a means of a baptism could sanctify and restore you to Holiness. Thus he aided in laying the foundation of God’s temple, that is, the spiritual temple, the body of Christ. John the Baptist may have arguably been Zerubbabel in spirit for this reason and also because he brought forth the capstone, the branch, Jesus. Could be a dual fulfillment prophecy.

Michael the archangel when fighting the devil in Jude vs. 9 (?) does not use a sword of power or might of his own against the devil, but uses the Word of God, the Lord, as His sword.

Gabriel seems to bring the most important messages concerning the bringing abouts of God’s Kingdom (to Daniel, and to Zechariah, and Mary) while Michael seems to appear as God’s most prominent warrior angel. Gabriel-Moses type? Michael-Elijah type?

The only other angelic being that restrains the powers of darkness besides Gabriel is Michael the archangel (Daniel)

Michael stands up before the time of Jacob’s trouble.

An archangel or “the” archangel (arguably and exactness unknown if there is only one archangel) blows God’s trumpet at the announcement of the coming of Christ and His Kingdom. Gabriel raises his hands and swears it shall be for 1260 days. (2 Thessalonians 4:16). The “rapture” happens at the last trump (1st Corinthians 15:51-53).

Re: Two Witnesses of Revelation 11.3 and the Branch
More observations about scripture. NOT facts, needs studying and testing and further searching out. May help some of you out though in your search.

Gabriel is associated with the man clothed in linen? (Daniel 10:5)
Rev_15:6 And the seven angels came out of the temple, having the seven plagues, clothed in pure and white linen, and having their breasts girded with golden girdles.

Dan 8:16 And I heard a man's voice between the banks of Ulai, which called, and said, Gabriel, make this man to understand the vision.
Dan 8:17 So he came near where I stood: and when he came, I was afraid, and fell upon my face: but he said unto me, Understand, O son of man: for at the time of the end shall be the vision.
Dan 8:18 Now as he was speaking with me, I was in a deep sleep on my face toward the ground: but he touched me, and set me upright.

Dan 10:6 His body also was like the beryl, and his face as the appearance of lightning, and his eyes as lamps of fire, and his arms and his feet like in colour to polished brass, and the voice of his words like the voice of a multitude.

Dan 10:9 Yet heard I the voice of his words: and when I heard the voice of his words, then was I in a deep sleep on my face, and my face toward the ground.

Dan 12:7 And I heard the man clothed in linen, which was upon the waters of the river, when he held up his right hand and his left hand unto heaven, and sware by him that liveth for ever that it shall be for a time, times, and an half; and when he shall have accomplished to scatter the power of the holy people, all these things shall be finished.

Rev 7:2 And I saw another angel ascending from the east, having the seal of the living God: and he cried with a loud voice to the four angels, to whom it was given to hurt the earth and the sea,
Rev 7:3 Saying, Hurt not the earth, neither the sea, nor the trees, till we have sealed the servants of our God in their foreheads.

Eze 9:2 And, behold, six men came from the way of the higher gate, which lieth toward the north, and every man a slaughter weapon in his hand; and one man among them was clothed with linen, with a writer's inkhorn by his side: and they went in, and stood beside the brasen altar.
Eze 9:3 And the glory of the God of Israel was gone up from the cherub, whereupon he was, to the threshold of the house. And he called to the man clothed with linen, which had the writer's inkhorn by his side;
Eze 9:4 And the LORD said unto him, Go through the midst of the city, through the midst of Jerusalem, and set a mark upon the foreheads of the men that sigh and that cry for all the abominations that be done in the midst thereof.

Eze 10:2 And he spake unto the man clothed with linen, and said, Go in between the wheels, even under the cherub, and fill thine hand with coals of fire from between the cherubims, and scatter them over the city. And he went in in my sight.
Eze 10:3 Now the cherubims stood on the right side of the house, when the man went in; and the cloud filled the inner court.
Eze 10:4 Then the glory of the LORD went up from the cherub, and stood over the threshold of the house; and the house was filled with the cloud, and the court was full of the brightness of the LORD'S glory.
Eze 10:5 And the sound of the cherubims' wings was heard even to the outer court, as the voice of the Almighty God when he speaketh.
Eze 10:6 And it came to pass, that when he had commanded the man clothed with linen, saying, Take fire from between the wheels, from between the cherubims; then he went in, and stood beside the wheels.
Eze 10:7 And one cherub stretched forth his hand from between the cherubims unto the fire that was between the cherubims, and took thereof, and put it into the hands of him that was clothed with linen: who took it, and went out.
Eze 10:8 And there appeared in the cherubims the form of a man's hand under their wings.

Zec 3:8 Hear now, O Joshua the high priest, thou, and thy fellows that sit before thee: for they are men wondered at: for, behold, I will bring forth my servant the BRANCH.
Zec 4:7 Who art thou, O great mountain? before Zerubbabel thou shalt become a plain: and he shall bring forth the headstone thereof with shoutings, crying, Grace, grace unto it.
Zec 3:9 For behold the stone that I have laid before Joshua; upon one stone shall be seven eyes: behold, I will engrave the graving thereof, saith the LORD of hosts, and I will remove the iniquity of that land in one day.
Zec 4:10 For who hath despised the day of small things? for they shall rejoice, and shall see the plummet in the hand of Zerubbabel with those seven; they are the eyes of the LORD, which run to and fro through the whole earth.

Heb_1:7 And of the angels he saith, Who maketh his angels spirits, and his ministers a flame of fire.
Rev 1:14 His head and his hairs were white like wool, as white as snow; and his eyes were as a flame of fire;
(Joshua sees the eyes of the Lord, which are as a flame of fire, which are angels that travel to and fro the earth. Joshua is not Jesus because he was sinful at one point. Gabriel and other angels in revelation(?) have eyes as a flame of fire just as their Lord does. Elisha had a double portion of Elijah’s mantle and showed one of his comrades angels prepared for war in a valley. 2 Kings 6:14-17 When the servant of the man of God got up and went out early the next morning, an army with horses and chariots had surrounded the city. “Alas, my lord, what shall we do?” the servant asked. “Don’t be afraid,” the prophet answered. “Those who are with us are more than those who are with them.” And Elisha prayed, “O LORD, open his eyes so he may see.” Then the LORD opened the servant’s eyes, and he looked and saw the hills full of horses and chariots of fire all around Elisha”.

Elisha didn’t pray, LORD open “my” eyes, thus scripture implying he already saw them. Chariots of fire are not of human origin, Elijah was carried up into heaven in a chariot of fire.
All scripture is for proper edification of God’s children, but all that is spoken about scripture needs to be prayed over and tested to see if it comes in the name of the Lord Jesus Christ-or pertaining to His will-the salvation of all. Just as Zerubbabel is not to work by his might or power, but by the Lord’s Spirit, as should we. Our efforts to understand are our interpretations, however asking for revelation and knowledge and searching and knocking has the reward of a knowledge of the Truth. God’s Spirit instructs us, He is our teacher and He does this in its due season or timing.

These things I have posted about are not solidified truths, they need to be worked out and truths sought after.

First of all, this thread isn't for me to convince people that PJ is one of the Witnesses of Rev. 11.3. You can go over to that thread if you want to learn more about himself and his mission. Know that I have thoroughly tested him with Holy Scripture and found him to be true, for whatever that is worth.

If you don't like my "interpretation" of Scripture, you have the right to not visit this thread. I am simply putting forth what the Spirit of God through Jesus Christ has inspired me to do, making certain everything I say is in accordance with Holy Scripture.

I respect your right to reject what I say or not agree with what I say.

Rev 1:14 His head and his hairs were white like wool, as white as snow; and his eyes were as a flame of fire;
(Joshua sees the eyes of the Lord, which are as a flame of fire, which are angels that travel to and fro the earth. Prophetic Joshua probably isn't Jesus because he was sinful at one point.

I would love to discuss.

Wow! These are a lot of good Scriptures and points of discussion.

Let's start w/ Revelation 7.2. I needed to consult my notes about this because there is an translation issue I am not familiar with. This falls perfectly in line with what we are speaking about here.

This is what PehJeshuah said about Revelation 7.2: "That is why the man child, who is the angel in Rev 7 ascending from the rising of the sun, having the seal of the living God, is the Branch foretold in Isa 1:1 to grow out of the roots of Jesus, which are what remains after the total falling away of the NT church. Most English translations render the Greek words for "from the rising of the sun" in Rev 7:2 to mean "from the east", which is a grave error. The man child is the one who spiritually comes from Edom, which is outside Israel, a Gentile land, as we can see from Isa 63:1. Therefore it is also said that he is a "bastard" (mamzer) from Asdod who will be cleased by God and made into a governor in Judah, for when the Lord becomes the sunrise in him the man child becomes a governor in Judah, i.e. in the new true church of God, which is called New Jerusalem.

Since the uplifting of truth (or the rising of the sun) does not come from the west, nor from the east, not even from the south, as foretold in Psalm 75:6:"
------------------------------------------------
Rev 7:3 Saying, Hurt not the earth, neither the sea, nor the trees, till we have sealed the servants of our God in their foreheads.
I believe this is where we are currently. The sealing is occurring right now.

I believe Eze 9-10.8 speaks of the Two Witnesses of Rev.11.3. The Two Witnesses are symbolized by the cherubim.

Like I said, I am not an expert. I look to PJ to clarify things for me on Scripture when I lack knowledge or understanding.

 Quoting: Anonymous Coward 45033535

A couple things on this that I think it's important to bring up. First of all, the 144,000 are SPIRITUAL Israel in the time of the sixth trumpet/sixth seal of the Gentiles (which we are in, currently). The time for the Jewish people is the seventh seal and seventh trump.

Secondly, there is no "rapture". The "rapture" is a fallacy told by the Fallen-Away Christian Church. John 6:40For my Father's will is that everyone who looks to the Son and believes in him shall have eternal life, and I will raise them up at the last day." Believe me....no one was more bummed than me about this truth sinking into my soul/heart. I fought this one hard. But, after much prayer and focus on Holy Scripture, I know it is true.

Re: Two Witnesses of Revelation 11.3 and the Branch
The Two Witnesses are Elijah and Enoch, who never died and are alive today by virtue of contact with the Tree of Life (which was never destroyed) and who will return to public ministry at the time of the Antichrist.

The 144,000 is a figurative term meant to represent those in union with the successors of the Apostles and the Vicar of Christ.

The only Rapture will be at the Second Coming of Christ.

By the way, the Catholic Church wrote the Bible and Protestants are simply confused, heretical Catholics.

The 144,000 are most certainly people. Revelation 14.3and they sing as it were a new song before the throne, and before the four living creatures and the elders: and no man could learn the song save the hundred and forty and four thousand, [even] they that had been purchased out of the earth.

Here is what the Haydock Commentary (George Haydock's Bible blows away the King James "version"; the Haydock Bible was the one JFK took the Oath on) says about the 144,000:

Ver. 1. Behold a Lamb, by which is divers times represented our Saviour Christ. (Witham)

Ver. 3. They sung as it were a new canticle. In these visions, after persecutions, are sometimes introduced rejoicings to encourage the servants of God in their sufferings from the wicked world. --- No man could say (or sing) the canticle, but those hundred and forty-four thousand: by which are signified the elect, who were not defiled with women. Some expound this literally of those who always lived virgins; others understand all those who lived or died with a pure and clean heart, exempt from the corruption of vices, and of whom it is said, (ver. 5) that in their mouth was found no lie, and that they were without spot for the throne of God. (Witham)

Ver. 4. These are they, &c. In the style of the prophets, by fornication is meant idolatry, and virginity signifies cleanness from all sacrilegious worship. These, therefore, are virgins in this sense, who have not fallen into the impurities of creature worship. But others, as St. Augustine, understand it of persons who have lived in continency. The first, however, is the more literal sense. (Calmet)
Jesus Christ is the way

Additionally, the Two Witnesses of Rev.11.3 are symbolized by the the two cherubim in the inner temple. I will discuss this more in depth on my next post.

This is where you not understanding the Old Testament paralyzes you. Pray for guidance and understanding while reading about three dwelling places of God (Moses' tabernacle, David's tabernacle, and Solomon's temple).

A hint for you...

Peter 2:5 calls us "lively stones, built up a spiritual house."

Good Luck!

Jeremiah 3:14 "Return, faithless people," declares the LORD, "for I am your husband. I will choose you--one from a town and two from a clan--and bring you to Zion.

Hosea 2:16 "In that day," declares the LORD, "you will call me 'my husband'; you will no longer call me 'my master.'

(Calmet)

Hi Freak Observer,

This took me some time. But, what you haven't quite grasped is the Apostasy that has taken place. There has been a TOTAL FALLING AWAY from the truth; this commentary is written during the "falling away" or apostasy so it holds no truth. I know how it is to hear this....it was very difficult to first grasp and your first instinct is going to be to reject what I am saying...but, I tell you the truth. Jesus foretold of the Apostasy in John 9.4 I must work the works of him that sent me, while it is day: the night cometh, when no man can work.

It was the reason why John wept in Revelation 5.4: I wept and wept because no one was found who was worthy to open the scroll or look inside.

Please pray and ask for guidance regarding this the great falling away.

May God Bless you,

You are making a statement that angels are now mortal. The only fallen cherub written in scripture is satan that I am aware of. Did the two cherubim sin? The wages of sin is death. The "TWO" witnesses are commissioned to prophesy and do supernatural works for 1260 days. That's it and then die, lay on the ground for 3.5 days and then be resurrected and called up to Heaven.

You said you found truth in spirit. Where is the truth? Didn't Jesus Christ say he is the truth, the life, and the way? What does John 16 tell you? That the Holy Spirit (the Advocate) will come and guide you to truth. Which is what? That's right.... Jesus Christ. Just because you are spiritual doesn't mean you have been blessed with the answers. It means you are in pursuit of them. If it were true, then people of the cloth far greater than you would not have stumbled many times in this mortal existence.
