I have four daughters and I love them to pieces, but I HATED being pregnant! There is no way I would belong to a church that dooms me and my daughters to eternal pregnancy!

I was going to just ignore all of the outrageous lies in the list posted by the OP (considering its an old post), but THAT was just too much.

The rest of the list is just lies and half truths taken out of contex. A few things on the list are sort of true, but not exactly in the way it is written.... I have heard most of these lies told before, but some were new to me, so kudos for coming up with something new.... :)

If you are using more than just the Bible it is not a Christian religion. Really think about this. Christians need nothing more than the Bible. Any translation of it.

There are decent people in every religion. For one, if they are using more than just the Bible they are not Christian. And the mormons are doing that.

I was born and raised in Vegas and went to high school with pretty much an all-Mormon crowd. My stepmom became a Mormom but discontinued after she learned the true nature of the Mormons later on. I would say OP is correct here. The stuff that the OP is saying is obviously what they are not going to tell you. That is later down the road once they know that they got you hook, line and sinker.

Also its true, a lot of the elders that you see in bikes with their white shirts/black pants used to hang out our house since he was cool like that. All we did was play video games eat pizza, drink soda, etc.

I would say the majority of the Mormons don't like to associate with no one else. They also look down at others.

A few of them are pretty cool but yeah, the majority were pretty arrogant fucks.

Due to being completely floored by the idiotic nature of the lies spread in the original post (not saying the op is idiotic, but the lies they told are completely idiotic), I neglected to make it clear in my previous post, that I AM a Mormon and have been all of my life.

I have heard some really ridiculous things about my church before, and usually I just laugh it off, but I find it quite insulting to be told that I aspire to be pregnant for eternity. As if women in the church are simply looked at as baby factories.... as if I would belong to a church that doesn't value ME as an individual.... as if I would allow that for my daughters!

Please! Take some time to get to know what real Mormons ACTUALLY believe, instead of believing ridiculous lies spread via internet.

If you want to be a Christian them dump the book of Mormon and all of their other books and just use the Bible.

Answer: Joseph Smith was amazed to see his passed away little brother in the highest kingdom, although he was NOT mormon or even baptized. So yeah screw that comment.

MORMONS WON'T TELL YOU that those who have been through their temples are wearing secret underwear to protect themselves from "evil". This "evil" includes non - Mormons like you.
Answer: Yes we have special underwear - its common knowledge.. It's symbolic, so you always remember who you are, and what covenants you made, to be more Christlike.. We too think the underwear look funny

Answer: Masons won't tell about their rites either, somethings are secret, our temple rites are sacret. Washing of feet's, is that secret? Jesus did that.

Answer: And Husbands receive salvation thought their Mormon wife, one flesh. Pregnant for ALL eternity? Not so.

Answer: We will eventually be Gods, some faster than others.. We should all help each other develop more Christlike and Godlike abilities.. Correct

Answer: Some people might get more than one wife eventually, David had many in the Bible, so did Solomon. No one will be forced, and its more rarity than common fate.

MORMONS WON'T TELL YOU that you were once a spirit - child of their heavenly father, and one of his numerous wives before you were born on earth.
Answer: Right, and are all brothers and sisters. Isn't that a nice picture? So what if God happens to have more than one wife?

Answer: We think he might have been married yeah, i hope so.. Would suck to live until your 33 years old and die a virgin.. Why would he have to do that? If he wanted 3 wife's, God would surely honor that request. Did he have 3 or 1, we simply don't know.

Answer: Yes we think God created us in HIS image, we think he looks very human.. Where he lives? Does it matter? You pray, he answers.

Answer: There where church leaders that didn't believe in race mixing 200 years ago, and that the priesthood where excluded from certain races.. That's been the case for thousands of years, God gave his priesthood to certain lineages anciently.. Some leaders are human, and do make mistakes.

Answer: He did not prophecy about Christ coming 1891, he did however say - IF he lived until he was 85, HE would see Christ. He died way earlier than that and saw him ahead of time.

MORMONS WON'T TELL YOU that their Prophet Joseph Smith did not die as a martyr as they claim, but was killed during a gun battle in which he himself killed two men and wounded a third.

Answer: No they won't, it was a major tragedy. The church had the US army against them, it was a very sad time, people where afraid.. During war, people make serious mistakes.

Since they think theyre really hebrews now, they take up old testament mindsets and the chief one is extermination of gentiles as taught and celebrated often in the OT.
If you believe in Jesus, you must, MUST believe he said everything necessary for you to know before he left. If you believe he's God's representative, that means no additional input is necessary from anyone else not specifically indicated by him as a successor.

So you're beliefs are righteous as a christian that follows the abrahamic doctrine? Many of my family members have gone on LDS missions, i have a family member that was a Mormon bishop. My grandpa was raised mormon, had 5 amazing kids that have grown up to be fantastic people. He was a teacher, his wife of almost 60 years stayed at home and took care of the family. He also gave 10% of his money to the church and is so good with his money, he has more than 95% of the american population in savings. He is also more Christlike than any Christian or any other religious figure i've ever met. i could care less what your religion is or anyone else's. Considering myself an agnostic with gnostic views, religion isn't for me. But it hasn't always been that way. I was raised "Christian" also and my parents are quite Anti-Mormon. When i read posts like this, i feel compelled to offer another perspective in the ongoing battle of "My God is better than your God." Do you really think god is jealous and vengeful? If God as described in the Abrahamic texts aka Holy Bible is truly omnipotent and all knowing, why would he create a race of people that later on, he had to have exterminated, via brutal force? There is more hate, murder, rape and destruction in the "Holy Bible" than "The Book of Mormon" Your attack on mormons is a combination of ignorance, anger and projections in my opinion. Are you right about some of your accusations? Maybe for some mormons, certainly not all of them.

I have not met many mormons, but the ones I did meet never tried to hurt me or the people I know in any way whatsoever. as long as they follow the laws of society, are honest, do not take drugs, do not steal, do not physically hurt others, I have absolutely no problem with them.

whatever their teachings be concerned, they are between them and God. it is my decision alone, who I believe in.

I am happy for everyone who will live an honorable life.

People who actually THINK would go to an LDS church and check it out themselves.

When they did that, the first thing they would notice is how INTELLIGENT, nice-looking, FRIENDLY, and GENEROUS the people there were. They would investigate their family geneology interests, their welfare systems, their belief in the afterlife and their kindness to each other as a group. They would meet some of the most interesting, deep, dynamic people on earth who set a standard you will find nowhere else.
