this was obvious months prior to this incident.gai was interviewed on channel 9 where she stated the horse was 100% and ready to win.[she's always overconfident but]after the race after more joyous [5\2 fav]ran near last,the jockey was interviewed on his way back to the mounting yard and stated,"there was issue with the horse",which meant he was underdone and needed the run.wonder how much tom made from that race.

its all geared towards the big corproate trainers.im not saying racing itself is bad,but the only way for it to operate ethically is to get more people involved in racing as a sport,and less people compulsive gambling.industry standards will adapt when animal welfare becomes paramount to owners who genuinely give a shit.not just who gives a shit when money is the sole motivation.

having said that, blood tests on more joyous in the days leading up to the race referred to above showed a sky high white blood cell count (anemic) indicating the horse had a virus and was not fit to race. despite this the dirty vets (and gai) said more joyous was fit to race. how she started favorite against all too hard is still a mystery to me

many people in the horse racing industry will have hell to pay for in the afterlife
