When the Beatles CDs came out in 1987 they never added the singles and misc tracks to the albums so that left 33 tracks that had to be compiled on a new CD set. |

You'd have to ask the photographer what the motivation was. The Beatles never said they were "bigger than Jesus". John said that and he was pointing out the fact that kids adored them like gods.
